Great quality, non toxic no odor oil
I used Odie’s oil (2 coats) for my raised bed cedar planter, because it is non-toxic & only enriches the color of the wood. It’s also water and dirt repellent, as well as providing UV protection. I wanted to keep the cedar’s beautiful, rich tones and protect it from the elements. A little goes a long way and no scent . I used two coats with my untreated cedar wood, 48” x 18” & x 24” depth, using approx 5 ounces for both coats inside and out. Follow directions on how to apply—I found it to be quite simple and the results are beautiful. I ordered the starter kit and it was well-worth it as it comes with what you need. I placed my planter outside, filled with soil and ready to sow my seeds!

My absolute favorite
Let me tell you about Odies Oil...it's a game-changer for anyone serious about woodworking. Used it on my latest project, a custom dining table, and I couldn't be happier with the results. The application process was a breeze, and the way it enhanced the natural beauty of the wood was truly impressive. It's like giving your piece a new lease on life. And the durability? Top-notch. My table has seen its fair share of family gatherings and spills, but Odies Oil has kept it looking pristine. If you're looking for a finish that combines beauty and resilience, look no further than Odies Oil. It's worth every penny AND it actually smells fantastic, so that is a nice bonus!

Great for novice DIYers
This was Featured on Transcend Furniture Gallery YT channel. Thank You Angie! It does a great job providing a soft satin finish that showcases the wood grain and color in a easy to apply and forgiving application process. A little goes a long way, always start small and add more otherwise you will be buffing for a long time. The smell is amazing! I used this on my grandmother's dining room table, the result was amazing. I am a complete novice and this was very forgiving.

Waterproof, Beautiful, Lasts Forever! 100% BUY NOW
Cannot rave enough about Odie's Oil! Never heard of it before, now I am a super fan and want every product they offer. Using this for memorial plaques I laser engrave for guardiangrounds.org and it is absolutely beautiful. This product works exactly as advertised. The waterproofing on the wood I am using is jaw dropping and shocking. I showed several people how pouring water on the plaque made it behave like plastic, the water beads up and sits there, you can wipe it off with your hand. The product takes a TINY amount to cover a LARGE space, so you get your money's worth out of every jar. This jar will last forever, I cannot explain how worth the money it is. They have great product videos that explain how to use it, follow it exactly! Not because it is hard, or won't work if you mess up the method (I did at first and it still worked fine) But, because if you don't watch the video, you will waste your money by using more product than necessary. They empower customers to use their correct products the right way, save money, and become great woodworkers. Love this company, love this product. BUY IT!

A good new finish for me. I will use it more.
I am an experienced woodworker, always trying out new finishes, looking for what is really good, and hopefully faster than multiple days of poly. Most of my past work was always shiny shiny or maybe satin. The trend is toward something more earthy and flat. Odie's goes on and does what I want it to do in one coat. You must pay attention when it says to use sparingly. Too much doesn't dry. So, after a couple of hours, I dry it off with several different pieces of cloth. It is dry within hours while a bit oily. In another day or so, it is dry. I still let it dry a few days before presenting my work to someone. The starter kit with all the applicators and dry towels is nice, yet probably not necessary with all the rags and towels sitting in the woodshop already. I have not yet tested the finish over time to know how it stands up to wear or abrasion, so I leave that open for now. The results are beautiful. My bowls and plates have a warm, but not yellowed glow to them. I am so pleased with the look. Yes, use sparingly. I have used it on seven large bowls, using too much likely, yet have used hardly a tablespoon. This will go far. And, it doesn't show signs of drying in the jar, quite different that poly or tung oil in the can.

Easy to use, great kit for small project, no harsh fumes
So easy to use. The kit has everything you need ( I did use my own nitrile gloves, just so I wouldn’t have messy hands but not absolutely needed). Loved that it didn’t have harsh fumes, actually smelled nice. I found some old bowling alley flooring that was ripped out of a torn down building. I sanded it and used Odies to finish and seal it so I can use it as a table top. It brought the true color back out and revitalized the wood. I let it dry for about a week before moving it, to give it enough time. This size jar was the perfect amount to do both sides of this very thirsty old wood. Will definitely buy this product again for future projects.

Great Product!
Odie’s oil is a great product. I have tried two other brands that are similar, but I like Odie’s the best. It’s easy to apply, smells great, is fast and the results are amazing. I sand at a high grit between coats for more sheen and smoother finish, but that’s my preference. This will not be a high sheen finish without some extra work, but it can be achieved. If you are wavering because of price, I cannot stress enough that a little goes a long way!

Leaves a nice shine
I love the look Odie's leaves on our butcher block countertop. It always feels smooth afterwards as well. The only downside I found is that its actually difficult to spread the oil with the woven pads given, it doesn't seem to spread out much and we really had to scrub. This could also just be user error though since we haven't used it very much
