Idk why it’s only 4 star
Love this cereal. Plenty of sliced almonds, nice coco flavor and just a hint of sweetness. The texture…it is super crunchy and stays that way. I let it sit for a few min in unsweetened almond milk and it mellows the crunch but never gets soft of soggy. There is a good amount of protein and some fiber. For those on GLP-1s I have found a full 1 cup serving (with a cup of unsweetened almond milk) works perfect. In general it’s much more filling than traditional cereals. The chocolate won’t seep out into the milk like a coco puff type of cereal but you can still taste it in the milk. Price wise I don’t feel there is much difference between this and traditional cereals. The box is small but you get enough servings to justify the price and then some. I’m honestly surprised the star rating isn’t higher. I suspect because this isn’t traditional sugary soft cereal but a much healthier choice…the texture I can see turning some off but I love the crunch and chew. Worth a try…if nothing else you will get a nice protein bump and lastly I have tried numerous protein cereals and this has been the best I’ve had.

5-Star, with some caveats
It's insanely difficult to find cereal with high protein and low sugar, that isn't insanely expensive. This one checks the first box, but the second one is hit-and-miss. Taste: I love it. It's not super sweet, which is exactly what I look for. You can always add more sweetness if needed, but you can't take it away. I actually wish it had slightly less added sugar, but the ratio of protein to sugar is still the best I've found (excluding the super expensive niche options out there). Texture: It's hard. You're going to need to let it soak in the milk for a bit before you go at it, or you may break a tooth. It's super dense with nutrients—it's not puffed air coated in sugar like most other cereals, so don't expect it to taste like candy, because it's not made of trash. Value: Depending on where you buy it, it can be reasonably affordable, but lately the price has gone up to $5+ per 9oz box, which is insane. When it drops below $4, I buy a bunch, then stop buying when it goes above that again. Conclusion: This is my favorite cereal when it is reasonably priced (sub $4 for the 9oz box). I hope they keep this cereal at an affordable level and keep it from slipping into the niche, luxury category, which I feel like it's starting to (I've seen it for $7+ a box). I will continue to buy this in bulk for as long as it's affordable, and stop as soon as it crosses the (value) line.

Hardcore chocolate crunchy high protein
Texture is a little bit hard and crunchy and the flavor is pretty overwhelming chocolate but you know not too bad. More stars if it had some nuts and some better texture to it.

Hard texture
I bought the Premier Protein Chocolate Almond cereal hoping it would be an easy way to increase my protein intake, but overall it was pretty disappointing. The biggest issue for me was the texture. Even after adding milk, the flakes stayed very hard and didn’t soften like a typical cereal. It made it difficult to enjoy and felt almost too dense to eat comfortably. Flavor-wise, it wasn’t great either. While it did give the milk a light chocolate taste, the cereal itself was very bland. The almonds had a strange, unpleasant aftertaste, and the flakes had that heavy “protein” flavor that just didn’t sit well. It didn’t taste like a normal cereal—it felt more like eating something functional rather than enjoyable. Overall, this is probably one of the worst cereals I’ve had in terms of taste and texture. If your main goal is to boost protein intake, it does serve that purpose. I ended up mixing it with another cereal just to make it more tolerable and give it a better texture and flavor. It’s not something I would purchase again.

Excellent cereal to boost protein intake!
This cereal is much tastier than I expected it would be. Doesn’t go soggy in milk and the almonds are delicious too.

Great crunch and perfect amount of chocolate!
I love this cereal! Ever since my gastric bypass over ten years ago, I don't tolerate cereal and milk anymore. I actually tolerate this quite well and even use it to add protein and crunch to protein energy bites that I make. The cereal is the perfect amount of chocolate, crunch and don't get soggy quickly like other cereals do. The added vitamins and minerals help ensure that I am getting what my body needs, since my absorption is compromised. My youngest son is used to other more sugary chocolate cereals and says this one definitely tastes like a protein supplement, but my oldest son likes it. I am hoping my youngest will come around to it, as I would prefer him to eat this instead of what he is used to. Regardless, I love the crunch and little almond slices thrown throughout. I have purchased this cereal several times and will continue to do so.
