Pros:- Pretty?- Decently sized o-ring- Textured outer piece to grip- Gives a build a "finished" look.Cons:- Nightmare to tighten the outer ring onto the inner portion with standard 1/2ID 3/4OD tubing. The tube must be 100% perfectly straight, and slightly undersized. On top of this, you can BARELY get the threads to catch, gotta push HARD, and turn and hope they catch right, otherwise, you strip the outer portion. This could be alleviated with slightly longer outer pieces, so that threads are caught just prior to clamping down onto the tube.- The finish is EASILY damaged, so pray they come off easily when you need to take them off.- I guess this is pretty normal, but a good bit of girth is added when using these fittings. So if the ports on your radiator are just a bit too close to the actual cooling fin area, you may have issues installing fans. I grew used to old school barbs and hose clamps, so I was somewhat surprised when I tried to use these. Guess I just wasn't thinking.
