Really disappointed... for as much money as we spent in this fountain, you need a BRIGHT sunny day for it to even work! Clouds? Not going to run. With today’s technology and solar advances you’d think there’d be a way to have the panels at least hold a charge so that when it’s not in direct sunlight the fountain could at least still run.The advertised pictures are also very misleading. The top tier never fills up enough for the water to even drop out the four drain spouts. It’s basically a bird bath with a tiny trickle of water that works 20% of the time. The power of the fountain is very weak. Waste of money.Gave it one star because it does LOOK nice. But that’s about it. If you want a bird bath, this is a two tiered expensive one with a little shower for the birds if it’s sunny outside.

This fountain was extremely easy to set up. It worked great...for a while. My first impression was that the switch for turning the water flow on and off was a bit peculiar. After less than a year, the switch failed completely. Now the fountain turns on at random times when the sun is shining. I have no control over when the fountain will run. Some birds do use the bowl for bathing and drinking, and I partially change the water every day and drain it completely now and then to remove algae and debris from the trees. I am thinking about replacing the top tier, which is the fountain portion with the solar collector and pump, but I probably won't because of the expense. I would not purchase this particular fountain again as there are other, cheaper alternatives that I would probably try. This fountain did work quite well last summer until I drained it and covered it for the winter. This spring I uncovered the fountain and filled it again. About a month ago the switch failed.

I gave it 4 stars as I can't seem to get water flow from all 4 spouts to the lower bowl. It's probably not level but two do spill over. The water flows well from the solar top. Easy to assemble an place, since I'm a 72yr old lady, that't'll give you some idea of the ease. I tried to upload a video but it wouldn't.

The media could not be loaded.  It sounds great and attracts birds. My previous review stands corrected. Pump could need a bit help. I wish it was little more powerful and I wish upper platform was a bit deeper. Birds love to bath but it is not deep enough and the lower one is too deep. However I have caught some larger birds desperate enough to jump in the lower one and take the risk. But it is worth every cent.Update: It is still going strong after 2 years or daily use. It is rarely without birds. Humming birds are the most aggressive ones. They do not like to share the fountain. Bees and wasps love it too. I see around 8-10 varieties of birds visiting it regularly

Beautiful birdbath with elegant fountain...excellent value for the money. Solar fountain worked perfect except on/off switch didn't turn off. I contacted customer service and dealt with issue in a prompt, professional manner. I am very happy with outcome. BTW, solar battery seems to last much longer than I expected...fountain still running long after sundown.

The structure seems durable enough to me, and we got good water flow in strong sun. But in six months, the fountain stopped working. It could be the panel, switch, or pump -- I'm not enough of an electrician to diagnose it. Tried the "manual start" technique in the owner's manual, did not work. Two emails to customer service have been ignored. If I have time, I may try to find replacement parts myself, but you should probably think of this item as a six-month rental, not a purchase.

Lightweight, self-contained, easy to assemble system. Here in South Florida the sun is especially bright so it works exactly as I hoped it would. Be aware of placement as the solar panel is in the top part of the fountain and needs direct sunlight to work properly.
