I've been using these on a number of surfaces, and most surfaces I put them on don't have proper adhesion. These aren't particularly unfriendly surfaces, other stickers stick just fine. Especially when trying to go around a corner, where a seam is often located on a hatch that can be opened, one side usually comes off and lifts away -- defeating its own 'security.' It doesn't void when it comes off over time either. So it presents an attack vector in which someone could tamper with something after the sticker peels itself away, then press it back down and have no indication that anything was accessed. Things like PC case sheet metal for servers and network equipment, which this should be well suited for, don't get the proper adhesion, and thus these prove unreliable. Another complaint is that the barcode and serial number is printed onto the top of the sticker, and after having one on the bottom of my laptop for no more than 10 days, it was barely readable. Those complaints aside, for the surfaces that it does stick well to, it does its job. None of the stickers have left any residue when removed, and they all void out when deliberately peeled off -- it's just that if they come off slowly by themselves, they don't void.

These are a basic means of revealing tampering with your sensitive documents. It's obviously not going to keep anyone out, and they don't stick as well as they should given their ostensible purpose is to notify you of flimflammery. They are serialized, so that's a plus, and have a barcode, and certainly look official enough, but I don't think these are industrial quality tamper seals.

These are nearly for paper. They don't adhere well to metal or plastic.
