To be completely honest, I had some initial hesitations before ordering and didn't have a whole lot of hope that it would work smoothly. However, this little adapter completely changed my opinion the very first time I put it to use. The fit is absolutely perfect. It dropped right into place and created a flawless, airtight seal over the skimmer basket without any fighting or adjusting. Because it seats so well, there were absolutely no pressure drops or leaking issues at all. In fact, the vacuum suction through the hose felt like it was running at a full 100%, if not even a little bit stronger than using the direct wall connection. Being able to vacuum straight through the skimmer basket like this makes cleaning up leaves and heavy debris so much easier because it catches the bulk of the mess before it can ever clog up the pump lines. If you are on the fence or skeptical about how well this adapter plate seals, don't worry. It works beautifully, holds rock-solid suction, and makes pool maintenance a whole lot faster.
