Decent quality overall but had to return
TLDR at the bottomOverall these shoes would have been good for my younger child but I had to return them due to a manufacturing defect. One of the lace eyelets was not pressed into the shoe correctly resulting in a very sharp point exposed inside the shoe. Luckily while I was lacingthem the point snagged on the lace which caused me to look and feel what it was caught on before my daughter slid her foot in.Other than the defect which could have easily been overlooked due to location these shoes were good quality especially considering they’re priced low for a split sole design. The split sole allows for much greater improvement in the flexibility of the shoe with the foot in motion. The shoes were lightweight and the taps sounded good. Shipping was super fast. The insoles were a bit papery feeling but I can’t attest to if they’d hold up to repeated use.Sizing with dance shoes is always hard. I would say size up half size from street shoe sizing.TLDR: returned due to manufacture defect but decent kids tap shoes

Run at least a size smaller
They seem like good shoes to me( for tap) My almost 7 year old son will be doing tap. I needed to return the first pair because they were tight. We ordered a size larger and they fit. These type of shoes really don't have any give, no stretch. The place he said bothered him most was the heel. It had a hard arch and slightly digs into the Achilles tendon area. The size larger fits way better.
