Inaccurate description, received less than what we ordered.
The cable was the one that we needed, the only problem is that instead of 3m we only reveived 2,60m. You should either update the details in the description of the product, or return part of the money for the 0,40m that were missing from the order. It felt like we were robbed. I know it might not make a lot of a difference when you buy a big quantity, but when you order 3m, you expect to receive that.

Not recommended
No identification or any marks on the package or wire to say what the cable is. Outer coating stiff and brittle. Off to the local shops now.

Thick cores, good quality
I used this to wire in a NEST thermostat.It’s my fault as the 2.5mm is too thick and i found this problematic to work with. It’s quite stiff and wont fit in smaller terminal block.If you are newer to electrics and doing some DIY go for 1.5mm (only if this is suited to the rating of what you will be powering)However the quality of this cable was very good and i did succeed in completing my task, and if anything i have an up-rated system to cope with faults due to the thickness of the cable

Speedy delivery and sensible price
Decided to install an external power socket but didn’t have enough cable. Very pleased to locate a seller of small quantities as I was very reluctant to purchase a drum of cable which I most probably wouldn’t use in future.Quick delivery and correct length of cable(2metres) delivered. Electrician friend checked and approved my install, the bare earth wire must have a green/yellow sleeve. Well done to Ali’s DIY for recognising and meeting the demand for small amounts of cable.I was quite surprised at some of the negative reviews which appears most unfair against the seller as clearly some of the reviewers shouldn’t have attempted to carry out electrical work in the first place without some basic knowledge and understanding of electrics.

Exactly what I wanted and expected: 4mm2 cross sectional cable
As described on the (proverbial) tin: standard wiring cable to use as patch without the hassle / expense of a 25m roll - came in Amazon packaging and a black shipping bag. Delivered pretty much next day.No dings, scrapes or evidence of it being anything other than brand, spark(l)ing new.About to buy the Tuff PVC version from the store for outdoor use.
