This photo frame is cute and the metal frame itself appears sturdy. However, the frame came simply wrapped in one layer of brown paper and in a HUGE box that would've easily held three frames. No clear wrap or anything to protect the product. Because of this, the frame came with missing screws and nuts that had vibrated off during handling. I ended up moving a screw set from the bottom of the frame to the top to hold the hanger back like it originally was intended.

This item is cute but it arrived damaged (bent meta). It was a gift and I could not give it to the intended recipient for his birthday because it was damaged and couldn’t be straightened.

I like everything about this except for the current price, which, at the current $40 is a bit much for this. But because prices can fluctuate quite a bit, I haven't been removing any stars for items if they're within reason. This one is very close to being more than twice the price it should be. Look for it on sale, it would be about right at twenty-five dollars.Everything else is pretty great. It's easy to hang, mainly because you don't have to have a level to get it straight on the wall. Just a single screw and it's good.There are weird extra screws that I noticed at first, but these serve as stand-offs if you leave them on so that the frame will stick out from the wall about 1/2" - or a bit less.The nice thing about the screws is that they give the frame a small shadow behind it, which is a nice effect -- and it moves depending on which way the light is coming from.This worked great at the top of the stair with some similar black metal artwork that is also here on Amazon. I'll have a review for that set soon.This is nice with four separate frames for 4x6 and one smaller that you'll need to crop.Overall, not counting the price at the moment, this is a nice frame that goes with just about everything. It's not overly fancy, though. Five stars.

This review is about the round, "Family Tree" themed frame.The first thing I need to say is that, due to very poor packaging, the frame came with some of the glass broken. The box is a thin square box but there is ZERO protective material inside around the frame so it is very easily broken in transit. Thankfully it was the 4x6 size so I am able to use some glass from another frame we have laying around.The frame is very nice looking. It is made of nice, heavy metal and it has some good weight to it. It feels very sturdy. The hooks on the rear holding the pictures in place don't feel flimsy so they should hold up to changing pics out from time to time. On the rear of the frame there are 2 screws holding in a hanger at the top. At the 3, 6 and 9 o'clock position on the frame there are 3 other screws going through the front of the frame with nuts on the rear. Some of the nuts were loose when I got the frame so they had to be tightened back down. These screws are the other thing I don't like about the design. I assume they are there as spacers to keep the frame off the wall the same distance as the top where it is hung on a screw. The problem is that there are no protective caps. If the screws are touching the wall, they will scratch the wall with any little movement.I think this is a really nice frame and, with four kids between myself and my fiance, this is perfect for us. It does feel sturdy and looks great hanging on the wall. The packaging is a major issue for me and, based on some other reviews, I am not the only one with that issue. When you are charging $39.99 (the price at the time of this review), people purchasing your product are going to expect it to arrive intact.

I like that this frame is made from metal. I had another "Family" picture frame that was given to me as a gift and was made from wood. One day the hook it was hanging on gave way and it crashed to the floor and fell apart. If this falls to the floor, it might get dented, but it would still be in one piece.The four picture slots (three are 4x6 and one is 4x4 in case you want to crop someone out of a picture) are fronted by glass. This was an issue with mine because the 4X4 glass had broken in transit. I don't blame that on the product, but the handling went it was sent to me.The metal is smooth and coated and has no sharp edges. The frame comes with a comb hanging point and screws around it to offset it slightly from the wall you hang it on. This allows for the pictures to be flush with the front of the frame instead of protruding. It also creates a nice shadow effect.It is well made and very giftable.
