Sturdy umbrella stand, has enough weight to support a top heavy ten foot patio table umbrella. No filling needed. Very attractive.

Will rust out but last quite some time.
Lady a long time even in salty environment. Used at our outdoor oceanfront restaurant.

Great for a year
Worked well for 1 year, then the connection point where the pole attaches to the base started rusting. It tore completely off in a light breeze this week. So expect a solid year+ of functionality if you leave it out in the elements, which most people will do.

Works well but needed more weight for a deck.
This stand is good, but you literally need more weight if you have an umbrella on a deck. I have another 25 pound weight on it and now its perfect! Otherwise it will blow away.

This item arrived BROKEN COMPLETELY IN HALF. Despite the fact that it is listed as “heavy duty” it couldn’t even withstand being shipped to our home. My husband pored over several different stands before choosing this one, specifically because it looked the sturdiest. Buyer beware.

Water sits in the umbrella pole shaft.
Heavy and supports patio umbrella fine. Why anyone would make/sell outdoor patio umbrella stands with NO water drainage where the umbrella shaft is supported is beyond comprehension. If you buy it, drill water holes or the water from rain will rot the post. I’m thinking it doesn’t take common sense to be a design person.
