is this elastic 3/4" wide or 1" wide? Also, can it be used for a belt?

It is 1 in. You can use it as a belt if you want a 1 in black elastic belt. Not sure what you are planning to do on the ends once you cut it to size.

The advertisement says 1" wide, yet the description says 3/4" wide? Which is it? I need 1" wide.. No less, no more

I took out my measuring tape and my roll of Lusata. The elastic is slightly larger than 1" wide. 2.4 cm on the metric scale. Hope this helps!

How thick is the material?

hi , usually the thickness is base on how many gage the elastic is made . they start from 24 gage to 38 gage . our elastics are all 34 gage which makes it strong and thick , but i am not sure how thick you are looking for .

I have an authentic nfl jersey that doesn’t have the elastic sleeves, can i attach and sew this on to my jersey when i have it altered?

Depends on the material of the jersey. If it’s netted you may be able to see the elastic.
