What a fun new forest companion! Thank You Silky
Perfect companion to big silky 2000 that fits in backpack or on belt. Please understand that this is a pull saw not a push saw and Silky are some of the very best to use. They are exceptionally well made, lightweight and fun to use...so much so that I find myself driving our forest trails looking for trees and limbs to clear! I use big silky 2000 to highlight trails because I am now an old lady and only getting shorter. This wee little fella did great helping me clear a beautiful old sour wood tree from forest trail and it's going to be a permanent companion in Jeep. Handle is extremely comfortable without gloves on, perfect size, great quality, wonderful price and super fast at cutting. Oh and don't forget to have fun!

Griller
This saw cost a pretty penny. It is a very good saw but for what it cost they could make it lock open and closed. The teeth do sit out of the handle far enough that the teeth can easily catch on fabric. Even very cheap saws will lock open and closed. Also with this considered and the cost of the included plastic case they could instead offer a quality sheath.

No hype Silky is the real deal!
I seriously got tired of buying cheaper imitations. I have owned many cheaper similar saws they sometimes last a season of use. None of them actually cut that well. So I decided to purchase a high end folding saw. After doing much research I settled on a Japanese made Silky. They absolutely stand up to their reputation and then some. They are a cut above the rest, yes pun indented. This saw gets right after it. On first use I cut through a 4" seasoned hardwood branch in about 15 to 20 strokes. It does just as good on alive branches. The Silky has a serious blade lock mechanism and very comfortable handle. This model is not too big and bulky to carry in any manner. I will purchase different size ones and I know I will be more than happy with the performance of them. Quit spending your hard earned money on cheaper saws. Spend a few more dollars and get the real deal.

Outstanding saw
I like everything about the performance, design and quality of this saw. It is a bit more expensive than the low end ones but worth every penny. The one thing that the manufacturer could do better in the user guide is explain that this is a pull-only saw and that pushing to cut your wood can bend your blade. Pulling takes less effort anyway and the user should never push, even if the blade gets stuck. The cutting ability of this saw is outstanding. The blade sharpness is first rate. The handle is comfortable to hold with good grip. The locking feature is solid. It takes only a few pull strokes to get through most branches and trees in the 1 to 2 inch diameter and a half dozen for things in the 3 to 5 inch. I am not totally surprised by this because I purchased their pocket-boy model about 15 years ago and always had it in my ATV and hunting pack to cut trees and branches. That saw is still cutting as well as the day I bought it and it has done a lot of cutting. I am so glad I added this bigger saw to my collection. It is easier to cut logs and trees in the 5 to 8 inch diameter than the pocketboy so I use it to clear fallen trees in the ATV trails while accessing the cabin or hunting. The value is totally worth it. Add this to your bushcraft tool kit and you will not regret it.
