This type of belt is now his favorite kind and we've bought several. They hold up well and are so adjustable because of the fact that they are the ratchet style instead of holes, so they fit much better. I'd buy this one again too. It's pretty nice and can be worn with all kinds of different outfits too, so it fits many style types. Just got my dad one too and he really likes it. Def recommend!

It only took about 1 minute to determine the length, cut the belt, and install buckle. It fits great and looks really nice. I was skeptical when I ordered this belt.I'm an older guy and other men in my boots will understand when I say "it is a chore to keep the pants up." Men change physically when they get old and conventional belts just don't seem to cut it any longer.I was wearing for a long time, a belt with a military buckle but that was difficult to get set at just the right tightness and it was always wanting to slip.Then I came across this belt.This one works like a military buckle but with none of the drawbacks:When tightening the belt around the waist, there is no need to release or push on anything. This thing works like a ratchet and here's why:it is not going to slip because there is a heavy duty nylon strip sewn into the back of the belt that has teeth for a positive grip. There is a button that is pushed to release the ratchet and the buckle slips right off the belt. The nylon strip is not sewn onto the back of the buckle. No Sir. It is sandwiched in between the two layers of leather and a portion of the rear strip of leather is cutout to expose the nylon teeth. It is really well done.The materials a 1st rate. The leather looks and feels quality. Everything is heavy duty. I will have no problem attaching a holster to this belt for my firearm because this belt is not going to sag like some other, thinner and narrower belts will do. There is allot of stitching to this design and it is all flawless.The price is what really surprises me: I find this kind of quality only with belts sold in the hi-value department stores.I'm not much of a reviewer but this one deserved something from me because it is not too often that I am totally pleased with the quality and functionality of products sold on Amazon.Needless to say, highly recommended.
