Proper safety procedures required when handling
Appears to be high purity, just do keep in mind this substance is a known carcinogen!I didn't exactly know that initially and might not have been as careful with it as I should have been - aka do NOT breath in any of it's dust - you WILL get sick just from that small an exposure.

Great product and exactly as described.
To me everything was perfect. I've seen some say that it didn't have a proper label but in reality it does. If people buy something without looking up what they're buying then it seems a bit careless. The name is on the product and the sellers page. The seller has a high quality product here and has given enough information to use correctly. Please be responsible as a consumer and be familiar with what you're buying. If you need more information just message the seller first. Thank you for your product I think you've done a great job here and the product was packaged very nicely! 5 stars and will be back for more!!

DANGER! This product is extremely poisonous! Fatal dose is only a gram so be cautious!
The product was exactly as ordered and good quality except it is sent in a plastic bag with no precautionary labels. Potassium dichromate is very poisonous and very carcinogenic so wear proper PPE. The seller needs to add appropriate labels and ship it in a solid container since theoretically this is enough potassium dichromate to kill over 450 people. This product is also corrosive and will cause extreme pain if swallowed or in contact with skin. In proper hands this product is great, just be warned you will have to repackage it and relabel it when it arrives.

No Safety Data
Neither the web page nor the packaging has any safety data. This material is quite toxic. It is :A carcinogen - causes cancerA mutagen - causes genetic mutationA teratogen - causes birth defectsA respiratory sensitizer - causes lung irritationA skin sensitizer - causes dermatitisA strong oxidizer - may cause violent reactionsMay enter the body via ingestion, respiration, skin contact, eye contact.OSHA requires a Safety Data Sheet be available; none is available, despite other brands on Amazon making such info prominent. California requires Prop 65 notification; nothing here.DOT requires warning labels on shipping containers; nothing. Fed EX requires warning labels. The material arrived in a plain cardboard box with no warning labels at all. Inside, the material was in a plastic bag inside another plastic bag. The only information on the label was "Potassium dichromate." There was not even a simple skull and crossbones. While I have a chemistry degree and have used this many times, and fully understand the issues and precautions, this is not something that should be sold to an unsuspecting individual without all th proper warnings and labels.

Careful - it's toxic but the label won't tell you that.
I bought this to make crystals with my daughter for her chemistry lab. It makes terrific crystals, but I would not have known this stuff is pretty toxic if I had not looked at the national Poison Control website. It came in a simple zip-top plastic bag with a label that says what is inside, but no other info about handling or disposal. That's the only reason I can't give it 5 stars. I know one should always assume these things when handling chemicals, but still, a warning label would have been nice.

Great product but missing. . .
I use potassium dichromate for dying wood. Having a chemistry background, I am familiar with various safety precautions. However the product came in a baggie without any identification or safety instructions. The shipper/supplier needs to put the chemical in a rigid plastic container with a label and safety precautions printed on the label. It should be noted that potassium dichromate is highly toxic both as a power and in liquid state. However, once it is applied to items (wood, fabric, etc) with tannin in it, the chemical undergoes a chemical change making it safe.
