Very nice Set! The case is very nice and has inside zipped pockets for the pieces, and a place to put your name and number in case it gets lost. The pieces are properly weighted, and there is even an extra queen. This is the perfect set for tournament play, as well as casual play at home. I am very glad I didn't cheap out, as this is well worth the extra $10 or so.

This is the right choice. I was going to buy the A&A Tournament Chess set, but later I figured that silicone boards, despite being easy to store, don’t slide well and if it comes bent from the factory there’s no chances of making it flat. Also, the pieces on that set have a very big knight that go a bit over regulation sizes. About this set, the vinyl lays flat and the felted chess pieces slide beautifully on it. The pieces themselves are beautiful, heavy and sturdy. Light pieces and dark pieces weight the same, unlike the “premium” pieces sold by this same company (House of Staunton). I wish the light pieces were cream/natural color instead of shiny white for more contrast against the light squares, but that’s a minor complaint. The case is also very nice and spacious. You could store and extra vinyl and set of pieces in it if you needed to.

The pieces have a good feel & weight.

It is a good weighted set and the chess pieces are the classic Staunton design. Plus it comes with two extra queens, and while beginners may not realize this, it is not that uncommon to have two queens on the board at the same time, so it is quite nice to have two extra queens for that reason. The board is good enough and I have had no problems with it, and the case is fine two, and has a strap for easy carrying. I have played chess for many years and was once rated just below master, so I have played quite a lot of games and have had many different chess sets. This one is a good full-sized travel set for the price. Quite reasonable and a very playable chess set.

This is a great set for chess club. The kids enjoy this set and can take it anywhere. The weight of the pieces is wonderful. There is extra room in the bag for a clock/timer and a notebook or other items. This was a well worthwhile purchase that I can see lasting quite some time if not forever. The board is very nice and easy to roll and unroll. It lays nice and flat and is heavy enough not to move around during play. This was a good investment.

Quality seems good, convenient to take in a travel bag. Would like to see a smaller set for younger kids, this set is more appropriately sized for adults.

I was looking for a chess set for my daughter that included a folding chess board, weighted pieces, and a carrying bag. The color choices were an added plus. My daughter picked pink. The pices have been drop many times and have not been damaged so I can attest for their durability. They also feel heavy (good thing) in your hand and do not tip over easily when bumped into or the board moves around.

Just what I was looking for. I play chess with our veterans who are in a VA Care Facility. I needed more chess sets that were good quality but affordable. This chess set was perfect. A nice chess mat in green and white, nicely weighted chess pieces with felt on the bottoms, and a nice size that is easy for the patients to see and handle. They come with a nice carrying case. The sets arrived well packaged and undamaged. They also arrived quickly, within three days from ordering. I’m glad I selected these chess sets and may be buying more in the future.
