Gifted this to my daughter on her 9th birthday. It was a big hit. She is a fan of the show but even if she wasn't, this is a pretty good doll. She mostly likes OMG dolls, but this one is definitely a favorite. The way you can change the style especially the shoe style is pretty clever. As a guy I really don't get fasion dolls, but even I can say that this doll is unequivocally "cool" I asked her what she likes most, she said that her little can't take the clothes off"

I volunteered one Christmas at the Salvation Army. We were in charge of shopping for the gifts for children. Each family had requests and the gifts were sorted by age group. A lot of girls wanted dolls. As a white woman, I became keenly aware quickly that there weren't enough black dolls for black girls. It disturbed me that my only option was to give blond haired dolls to black children. I ended up giving them something else on their list instead. That experience had a huge impact on me. I order these dolls every year and donate them to toys for tots. No child should be robbed of the experience to have a doll that looks like them.
