Saphir Medaille d'Or Renovateur

This stuff is a bit expensive, but it's worth it for my fine dress shoes. Works great to maintain fine leather shoes. I'd recommend this to anyone with nice dress shoes to keep them supple and looking great.

It conditions the leather beautifully, restores softness, and leaves a natural finish without feeling greasy. A little goes a long way, making it well worth the price. I’ll definitely keep using it on my bags.

I’ve been using this cleaner/protector for 15 years or so and won’t use anything else on my leather purses and shoes. It was recommended to me by a cobbler. Anytime my shoes are looking beat up or worn out, I apply this and they look brand new; it gets out dark spots in the leather and works on pretty much any color of leather. It’s super easy to apply and one jar lasts a long time.

Works amazing! It does have a strong smell for the first day after applying, but it soon goes away. super easy to use and lasts a long time. I have barely started it, even with multiple uses!

I know why th S is very expensive- it’s great. It really is worth the money.

Let me first state that the product is a really good product as with all of the Saphir line. This item would have received a full 5-star rating from me had it not been for the packaging of the product. The package arrived in a box with other items that had been ordered at the same time. The Renovator was packaged inside of a plastic bag and it appeared as if the top had come off of the product because the bag was filled with the spilled product. As far as use of the product, it works as it is advertised to work. I applied it to a couple pair of my AE shoes as directed and you could almost immediately feel the change in the pliability of the leather. With a little rubbing, surface scars were removed and only a small amount of the pigment was removed. The shoes were allowed to rest and absorb the lotion for a bit and then, the shoes we were polished with Medaille d'Or cream polish to restore the luster and pigment to the leather. After a good brushing with a good quality horse hair brush, the shoes were waxed with Medaille d'Or 1925 wax polish. Each pair seemed to come more alive than they had been prior to the treatment. I would highly recommend this for anyone interested in protecting their investment in a quality pair of shoes.

Works awesome as a leather conditioner. It was highly recommended to me for expensive leather jackets and handbags. Not a fan of the perfumy smell. I used it on my pricey leather jacket and the perfumy smell took over the leather jacket smell. I am hoping it will go away and the leather smell comes back. I just applied it a half hour ago 3pm 1.14.2025 so I will try to come back later with an update. UPDATE: 1.16.25 2 Days later, the smell of the Saphir is gone and the awesome leather smell of my jacket is back to normal and the leather looks and feels great!

First let me say, if someone gave less than 5 stars, they hit the wrong button. Saphir Medaille d'Or Renovateur is the undisputed champion of boot conditioning. Even the best leather tannery in the entire world, agrees with that statement. It is fact, that this product and Venetian Shoe Cream, are the only two products recommended by Horween. The latter being a thrifty alternative, and often just as good for some leathers. You really only need Saphir if you're wanting the best of the best, and for high quality leathers. Any well versed boot enthusiast can tell you that Saphir renovateur is the best. It's the only product you can use on Shell Cordovan, being 100% certain that you won't damage or discolor your precious leather. I've been learning more any more about boots and leather, since purchasing a pair of brown Bottega Venetas in Italy a few years back. I was worried about ruining the color of my boots, so I dove deep into boot forums, finally discovering Saphir Medaille d'Or Renovateur. The results were amazing, it truly rejuvenated the leather of my Bottegas Veneta boots. No darkening or splotches. I also used it on a pair of handmade American Boots with Natural Dublin leather. To my surprise, it didn't darken the leather!! The neutral disposition of this cream is remarkable. I've used a few different conditioners like Bickmore 4, Obenauf's and Huberds on my work boots. The latter 2 are far too greasy and would ruin any premium leathers. I love Saphir so much, I even use it on my newer work boots. Which are shown i the photos: White's Foreman Steel Toe Model. I provided before an after of my work boots. Along with a photo of my 3 year old Bottegas and the pair in Dublin. You can see how beautifully they are aging whike conditioning with Saphir. I do wish the price was a bit more affordable, but the results make it worth every penny! Thank you!

Very expensive however not sure if it is worth it ! Initial feedback is good but not sure how it would hold the leather long term

Really good product for leather maintenance
