Q: Can anyone recommend a brief that fits like these used to before they cheapened them up? if i wanted fruit of the loom i would have bought instead.

Yep, first Gold Toe socks and now this. Prior pairs much better quality softer, thicker fabric. You can tell old type via new cheaper because old type is lighter red where new type is much deeper red. Might see if in store carries any of old. So now what brands do I buy when even name brands cheapen out. I guess just buy fruit of the loom since its all the same now. Sigh.

Yes, go with the next size up. I have a 34 waist and went with the 36-38 size. Allows for shrinkage. Love these!

They will shrink up

If you wear a large,,, get extra large. If you wear medium get large. 3 times in the washer, your privates will be stressed. So size up for comfort.
