BioThane is an amazing synthetic material. It's made from very strong webbing covered in rubbery coating that makes it look and feel like leather. BioThane can be argued to be better than leather: it doesn't need maintenance, doesn't sag or stretch when wet, doesn't stiffen in freezing temperatures, doesn't fray, can take lots of abuse and still look new after a wipe, doesn't keep smells in, is easily cleanable - dirt doesn't stick to it. It's also lightweight, waterproof, washable, flexible, durable and is long lasting. A material for any weather.BioThane is very strong, the narrowest 3/8 of an inch wide BioThane has a tensile strength of 1,000 lbs per inch.
