Clear Gear Disinfectant and Deodorizer For Sports Equipment, 32 Oz Bottle

If you’re looking for a spray that *might* save your child’s football gear from becoming a petri dish of doom, this is the one. I bought it after hearing another mom’s horror story about last year’s team basically hosting a staph-themed block party inside their pads. The scent is somewhere between “pleasantly fresh” and “I’m pretty sure this could strip paint,” but honestly, that feels like a feature, not a bug. After spraying / soaking my kid’s gear, it still dried fairly quickly and the equipment smelled less like a high school locker room and more like something a human could be near without gagging. Five stars for preventing infectious diseases, three stars for the smell, and ten stars for letting me sleep at night knowing I’m not sending my kid into a microbial war zone.

This spray is great! I love thrifting shoes, but I do worry about some of the risks that come with buying footwear secondhand. I use this as an extra precaution after washing, since soap and water alone aren’t effective against fungus. It gives me some extra peace of mind when buying secondhand treasures. I know it may seem a little pricey, but I compared it with similar products from other sellers on Amazon and Walmart and ultimately decided this was the best deal for the quality. A little goes a long way. I’ve been able to spray and thoroughly soak several pairs of shoes with one bottle. For me, it’s worth the cost for the added peace of mind!

Bought this based on my friend's recommendation. We work out and our gear: boxing gloves, wraps, weightlifting gloves, can get pretty sweaty. We spray this cleaner on what we can't easily wipe down as soon as we're done and it keeps things fresh. My gym also uses this product, so that's a good sign. No harsh Lysol smell, and easy to use. I've ordered it twice and will continue to do so.

We've had this for a few months now. I purchased to spray on my two daughters softball gear, mainly the catchers equipment. I noticed she was getting breakouts and thought it would help to disinfect the helmets and masks. I think it has helped and I've also started using on sneakers and our peleton bike seat after use. The bottle has lasted as each time I use it a spray 2-4 times and it's gone a long way so far. My only complaint is that the sprayer stopped working so I had to get a Zep bottle and use that. Otherwise I am happy with my purchase and I think this will be a staple in our home for athletic gear.

I use this in combination with another product that does a bit of a lighter clean and deodorizing. So this product doesn’t get enough credit from me because I use it half as often because it’s so strong and effective. Great product for football gear and sometimes it doubles for me in the construction field as well.

This product is great on my sons roller derby equipment and I use it on my weighted vest. Apply right after use let it air out no odor.

THIS IS AN HONEST REVIEW. Not a vine, not a paid testimonial and not promotional spam. tldr: TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY, just use a moderate solution of white vinegar instead. We bought 2 bottles of this junk. We thought perhaps the first bottle was a fluke given all the high appraisals of this product. WRONG. Ours son’s lacrosse gear has a formidable odor. we followed the directions to the letter. This stuff is basically like spraying tap water on it. ZERO EFFECTIVENESS. Much better off using a white vinegar solution.
