Very dependable belt
I really love this belt. I first purchased the Better BDU Belt about 15 years ago, when I was in the Navy. It is superior to the standard issue web belts because it is thicker than most belts, and it stays put where you set it in the morning. My buckle from my original belt was metal, unlike this newer belt having a plastic buckle. The paint was wearing off of the original buckle, but other than that, it still held up as good as the day I purchased it. I decided to spring for a new belt, but I still wanted to stay with this design. I liked my Spec-Ops brand belt, but I did look at another brand. The thing that sold me was that this belt is made in the USA, the other tactical belt is made in China. One of the things that I noticed reading other reviews was that the belt was backwards. I was confused when I received my belt, because it was backwards compared to my original belt. When I first put the belt on, it was backwards. Since the belt was backwards, it wasn't holding the position like it should have. I would put it to the position where I needed it, then it would slip about half an inch. I was getting frustrated. Then I noticed that the new black belt had been shipped "inside-out," with the logo facing in. With my original belt, the Spec-Ops logo was facing the outside of the belt. When I received my new olive belt, it was received with the logo also facing out. When I flipped the belt around so that the logo was facing the inside, the belt was instantly easier to adjust, and much more comfortable to wear. The buckle sat closer to my waist, and fit better. One other thing that I like about this belt is that it is kind of stiff, it doesn't fold over easily. When I wear IWB and OWB holsters with this belt, it is very sturdy. The belt stays put in the belt loops, and holds the weight of firearms easily. If you are looking for a dependable belt that looks good, and functions great, you should definitely consider this belt. I highly recommend this belt. It is a quality-made belt, that is made in the USA.

Great for anyone wanting belts that don’t slip in loops
Comfortable, thick enough to hold steady in loops not slipping as more -buckle heavy- metal type belts do. Easy on and off for traveling and great value for the money.

This is the second one that I have purchased. They are strong and easy to use.

Light, strong, durable, and load bearing
I bought this belt to replace one that I already owned, which was tan colored. I bought that one in an Army base store. That belt literally went to war with me, and held up my holstered sidearm (m9 Beretta, heavy) with no chafing or stretching. It was comfortable during all-day use. The belt is still in great shape 6 years later. I never found the plastic buckle to be an issue, and I do own heavier duty belts. I prefer this one for daily use because it is lighter and easier to undo. It is also great that it does not have set intervals, so I can adjust it to the perfect fit. Even if I gain and lose weight. I recently bought two different width black ones to match my civilian wardrobe, and decided to leave this review. I use the wider width with work clothes and the slightly smaller width for casual jeans.

Great Belt
It was a bit uncomfortable in one corner so I took a lighter and melted it down. Thats the beauty of these belts, really easy to make comfortable and cut down to size. You don't have to take it off at the airport since it is plastic and its really quiet. The belt is a bit long but again, cut it down to size. No big. I've been using it for around 6 months now and its held its shape/no sagging, etc. quite well.Downside? The price. Its expensive. $20 is a bit much for a simple nylon belt such as this. This is probably due to the Spec-ops brand name and the Made in the USA tag. Labor shouldn't be that expensive due to the simplicity of the design.

After apply a generous coat of clear nail polish or super glue to prevent the end from fraying
Just received the belt and it is well made. Buckle holds securely but does stick out a little so could be an issue for someone who really wants to conceal.I wear a size 34 paints and after reading reviews on Amazon and other sites I opted to order the large size. The belt is way too big and had to trim about 6" off the end. So if you wear the same size pants as I do, order the medium or regular size. For anyone who has to do this, cut the end with a pair of sharp scissors or a sharp knife that is heated with a torch. Then take a flame to the end of the belt to melt then press down with the blade of a knife to smooth out the new cut. After apply a generous coat of clear nail polish or super glue to prevent the end from fraying.Wanted to add the belt is stiff but not too stiff where it is uncomfortable to wear. It holds my gun securely and does not sag. For the price, this belt cant be beat.

Just the belt I was looking for
Regardless of my politics, I really like this BDU belt.Because it is wider than most, it is more comfortable to wear. It does fit well into the loops on Levi's. The material is really heavy and looks like it will last a long time. Carrying camera bags, etc., on it is not a problem. I am sure that my grandchildren will enjoy wearing it in 25 or 30 years. One of the hassles with nylon/canvas belts is usually the buckle. You get the size right, but then clasp the buckle and now it is too long or too short. This buckle has a little tab that lets you easily hold it in place while you put the end through the other slot and you are done.Yes, if you are cheap and buy it from the Amazon Warehouse for half the regular price, you can cut it to size. The XL is really XL. I used a box cutter knife and fire lighter and it looks OK now that it is L. From the factory, it looked really good.Tough, good looking, and utterly without leather. Just what I was looking for.
