Bright and Inexpensive
Having used headlamps now for over 40 years for camping, I think I've had all the good ones, many costing upwards of $100 in the early days. This new generation of inexpensive imports has made headlamps nearly "disposable." That said, a headlamp of this brightness, with this many features, at this price, is a real find.My initial impression is that it is very bright and the controls are easy to locate. The buttons for "on/off" are recessed to the point that they require some getting used to, but it also insures that the light will probably not turn on accidentally in your pack (I always remove one battery when I pack it away just to be sure it won't come on and drain the batteries anyway). The only feature that I find questionable is the plastic latch for the battery compartment. If anything looks like it might fail over time, it might be that, but that's only conjecture. I've had the clip latch fail on other lights in the past, so it's the one thing I examine on a new light as a possible future problem with repeated opening and closing. I'll update this review after I've used it for a few months. All in all, an excellent light for the price.

Much better for my ego
This is definitely a very bright headlamp. I bought this because I run forest trails in the early morning (dark) hours, and need to be able to see what I'm tripping over, so I can more efficiently curse why I've just fallen. It works! I can now call out individual rocks for my failure to stay upright, rather than curse my own ineptitude. Much better for my ego. If you plan to wear this around your house, you should probably also buy a pair of solar eclipse viewing glasses for anyone who you might wish to talk to, so they don't go blind. (unless you use one of the two dimmer settings, which are very nice). Also, there is a blinking mode that handily blinks SOS in morse code, which I expect to use the next time my wife makes soup.

*** MUST READ*** BEST 4 THE PRICE BUT...
***Very unlikely to need all lights on full***40+60+ HOURS... Ummm NOPE. I went through two of these to make sure.I find myself using the larger bulb on the headset on a lower setting which then the light will last for 4-8 hours. Also, keep in mind the type of batteries your using, rechargeable or normal like Duracell from Walmart. There are differences between even the most common house hold batteries. The batteries that come with are the strongest longest lasting rechargeable batteries I've found on the market yet. They hold more power than (eneloop pro).FULL BRIGHTNESS both lights = 1:15 HRSHOWEVER, there's nothing close to the price range and quality!

So bright my husband was jealous.
This thing CRANKS. It’s bright as all hell and my husband was jealous that it was better than his headlamp 😂 lightweight, no separate battery pack on the back of your head, angle, brightness, and size adjustable, it’s perfect for all those outdoor adventures. I have used in on numerous camping and backpacking trips and haven’t swapped batteries yet, so that’s pretty good, I’d say I have gotten a good 10 hours out of it so far? Not exactly sure. But it’s a solid piece, and I’d definitely get another.

A Little Bit Plastic Feeling But Very Good.
Ok so I have had a number of headlamps and almost all of of then have been Petzls. Based on feeling in hand alone, Petzl is vastly superior. They are clearly better made devices. That said, this lamp is very bright and, for the money, is an incredible value. Further, as a runner, I find this to be lighter and at least as effective as my last lamp. During early morning runs, the illumination is as good as anything I have ever used and quite possibly better. I worry a little about longevity but my more expensive lamps usually don't make it more than 2 years or so so I find myself inclined to recommend this lamp. It is a good value purchase to be sure. I will update as I go.

Great product for great price. Worth it!
This headlamp is awesome. I have bought a couple from REI and they are good, too, but this one is very affordable and mega bright in comparison. It has all the desired features like adjustable brightness (three brightness settings on white and also flashing). The red light and the flashing setting are on a different button which is nice because other headlamps that I have had require holding the one button down for a certain amount of seconds but if you hold the button too long, something else happens. The band is easy to adjust and soft so the lamp fits comfortably. The battery lasts a very long time on the brightest setting. I could easily take this on a weekend camping trip and never have to replace the batteries. Batteries are easy to replace.

It's bright
Works Great! .... for 2 minutes. Red light side works fine. White light side was very bright for 2 minutes then died. Better now than in a couple months when I can't return. Oh well. Every china manufacturer has a DOA once in a while.

Light your way to better Reading!!
I purchased this for my husband, who has problems with his eyes; i.e., reading, crossword puzzles, etc. Before this Headlamp, we just couldn't find anything that was so well-lit. He finds it comfortable, too!
