TASTE OF KYOTO Matcha Green Tea, Dark Chocolate, 1.50 Ounce

These taste of high quality and very delicious if you like green tea/matcha. I got 5 of the green tea dark and 5 of the green tea latte. Although expensive at $4 X 10 ($40) + $5-6 shipping and a little smaller than I though (my fault) considering the price, they added 2 extra bars, 1 darks and 1 latte which helped shave off 75 cents per bar. Thank you very much for that!The latte tasted like it was mixed with white chocolate and a lighter taste of matcha but has the same powder texture in the bar as the dark but still had a rich taste. The dark had a much deeper taste which complimented the matcha powder more. Both seem high quality, are rich, creamy, and delicious!

This one is not even worth one star! I am truly disappointed. The description is very deceptive and is actually wrong! It states the size of the bar is 15 ounces, but it is really only 1.5 ounces. Both bars expired in August of 2017, and it is now October 2017. I saw tiny little bugs in one of the foil wrappers. Disgusting! Buyer beware!

WONDERFUL matcha flavor. Intense but still smooth to taste....my only complaint: I cannot justify the price considering the size.

I am crazy fan of green tea products. So I decided to buy both the Dark Matcha Green tea Chocolate and the Matcha Latte Green Tea to give it a try. The taste was amazing! Can't keep my fingers from snacking! However, the size is smaller than I thought. I wish I had bought more. Personally, I like the Dark Matcha more due to its stronger green tea flavor. But hey, both green tea chocolate is to die for!

When I'm in Japan, i always eat a variety of pastries and ice cream matcha. There's no comparison to ones made in US because they cater to American palate --- slightly bland green tea.This dark green chocolate is almost perfect. its a nice fix if you cant order green tea latte or green tea frap at starbucks or mitsuwa ;-> (of course, extra dark).The dark green tea is aptly bitter, BUT grainy. I would like to smooth dark like my latte.Ive only tried Meiji but its too sweet for my taste though you can truly taste the green tea notes.I still will recommend this chocolate to those deep dark cravings for a blast of matcha, but its really expensive for a small bar of chocolate--same size as a small bar of hersheys.

This chocolate is actually a creamy green tea chocolate that tastes like heaven. A friend introduced it to me earlier this year. Simply Divine!Update April 9, 2015: I just wanted to comment on the comparisons to Meiji and Hershey chocolates. This chocolate is made with top of the line Matcha green tea from Japan and waaaay better than your average Meiji green tea chocolate. Yes, it's smaller than a Hershey bar....but not by much and a much better product! I just bought this chocolate again and my ten bars are almost gone after just a few days.

From the picture and the price, you would guess this shall be an ok size chocolate bar, right? Then you will be shocked when it arrives - the small size bar you can never find in a American supermarket. I saw WTC similar green tea but four time size selling for $10. I felt cheated. Do not buy!
