One the most beloved TV shows of all time is now a sweet, silly, sci-fi bedtime story perfect for kids and their parents! Best pals Dana (Scully) and Fox (Mulder) have pitched a tent in the backyard for a sleepover. But the night is full of strange sounds, lights, and shadows. Surely there’s a rational, scientific explanation for everything . . . or is there? With beautiful illustrations of pint-sized Dana and Fox, this humorous and not-scary-at-all story will introduce the cult TV show to an entire new generation of fans. Review: Can't miss it if you're a fan and you enjoy some whimsy - I'm a childless adult, but a big X-Files fan and a kid at heart with an appreciation for illustration. That said, this book aligns well with my interests, and the purchase was a done deal as soon as I heard about it. :) The book delivers - It's adorable, X-Filesy, and just the tiniest bit creepy (It's child-friendly, of course). Scully and Mulder, or "Dana" and "Fox" as they're referred to in this book (naturally - they're children here) are true to character in a simple, delightful little story. It's a supe- cute reimagining of the pair as childhood friends. The illustrations are beyond adorable - vibrant and reminiscent of classic Golden Books. A great addition to my recently growing collection of X-FIles spinoff publications. Yay for this book. I'm happy it exists. :) Review: Great artwork, fun book - My husband and I are fans of the show, and thought this picture book would be cute for our little one. It did not disappoint! It has a very simple story line, but let's be honest, we bought it for the art and the name. It was a very cute book overall!

Very cute story!
Super cute book, loved reading it to my baby and showing him all the bright pictures. I'm not a hardcore fan but love that there's a kids version of adult things. This was a great addition to my little guy's library.

Very cute book - adorable illustrations! It was a great way to introduce a show I love to my 7 year old. The story is funny, and works for many different age groups. Definitely recommend, not only for fans of the show, but for parents looking for a unique gift for their young readers.

Super cute book for the little XFile
I’m an original XFiles fan and when I saw this children’s book I knew I needed to pick it up for my little niece and nephew (3 and 5). They both really enjoyed it and always ask me to read it to them when I come over. Very cute book!

Awesome Art, Cute Story
As an X-Files fan and collector of X-Files memorabilia, even knowing that this was a stand alone children's book that wasn't going to have anything to do with the actual series, I had to have it. Just seeing the amazing artwork by Kim Smith on the cover was enough to reel me in. I was pleasantly surprised when the book arrived. From the cover image that Amazon has displayed, I thought the book was going to be a flimsy paperback book with a glossy looking cover. Nope. This book is huge! And, it's hardcover (with a sleeve). The images are amazing! Kim Smith is really great at what she does. The story is really cute, too. Again, if you're an X-Phile, the story doesn't have anything to do with the series other than the mention of aliens and what would be deemed "spooky" or "scary" for kids, but it's still a fun ride depicting our favorite characters as kids investigating creepy situations. The book is a quick read, too, making a great story for bedtime.

A Great Book for Both X-Files Fans and the Casual Reader
This is a really cute and well-made book that would appeal to X-files fans and non-fans alike. The illustrations are top notch and the book is well produced with high quality paper that really make the illustrations pop. The story about "Fox" and "Dana" camping out is simple but enjoyable and revolves around the differences between imagination and logic with a classic X-Files ending. I felt the overall message that both imagination and logic are essential and work well together was good and true to the overall X-Files themes while still being kid-friendly. The only part I didn't like was the point in the story when Fox says that he must have a really wild imagination and Dana responds that's the smartest thing he's said. I felt the implication that Fox's imagination was unintelligent was not the right tone/message for a kids book since both are important to have. But this is a minor point and I don't think it detracts from the book at all. Overall, I think this is a great book to add to your collection and would appeal to fans and non-fans alike.

Perfect.
Got this for my niece for her birthday. Wanted to introduce her to what I consider is one of if not the greatest show ever created. And an added bonus, it's bigger than I thought it was going to be. I thought it was going to be the size of a golden book. That's a great surprise when I opened it up. Can't wait to read this to her.

Cute story and beautiful illustrations. Love it!
Too cute! I bought it as a gift for my sister with whom I watched all X-Files episodes and movies. I thought it would be a nice way for her to introduce her husband and her two little ones to our beloved characters. Yes, you have to suspend the mythology and belief in the "reality" of the series as Mulder and Scully did not know each other as children but come on! It's too cute to make me angry! ;) I think that given the nature of these two fictional characters, if they had met as kids, I imagine that their interactions would be much like they are in this delightful story. I hope that there are more books to come!

Bonitinho demais!
As ilustrações são lindas e a história é bem legal! Adorei o modo como os dois, ainda crianças, foram retratados. Se a pessoa é fã, vai gostar de ter esse livrinho em sua coleção. Super recomendo.
