Like someone else mentioned
Just received this jacket today. I am pleasantly surprised.I am around 6'1 and around 268 lbs so I chose to order the3x tall size. Like someone else mentioned, I like my shirts andjackets a little baggy. Like to be able to move around. This jacketprovided that for me. Maybe could of been a little more room tomove around. The zipper worked perfectly. This has a nice amountof pockets. Has a nice hood. The interior of the jacket feels like it willkeep me warm.

2nd parka I've owned by these guys. LOVE it.Don't spend more on less!!!
This is an EXCELLENT winter coat, able to withstand our Minnesota winters --which can sometimes feel like living on the moon for 5 months--and keep me toasty warm. The fleece lining makes all the difference. This is the second Boulder Creek coat I have owned. After 6 years the first one was starting to look a bit ratty, so I got another one..I am 5' 11", 240 lbs, so I got the 2X extra large (Big 2XL, not the tall 2XL), and it fits perfectly. The sleeves come down to about halfway between my wrist and knuckles, just the way I like it, and leaves enough room for layers underneath if I so choose without being too tight. It comes down to about mid-thigh or so, a nice coat length. It has plenty of pockets, including that invaluable inside breast pocket, and is much warmer than you might expect from a parka this lightweight. Being soft and lightweight, it doesn't constrict your movement much either. It has kept me warmer than ANY coat I have ever owned, ALL winter long. No piercing winds get through, none of those late-night or early morning frigid temps get to me while waiting for the car to warm-up, it will seal you up from the bitterness nice and cozy. and although I do not think it is waterproof, I have never once in 6 years gotten wet inside it.In the dead of winter, when I combine this coat with a couple cotton layers underneath (a long t-shirt and a light sweater) with my Sorel's, a scarf, good gloves and a rabbit fur trappers hat, there were times that I found myself even getting a bit warm, even in night time, subzero temps. It is a soft, light, cozy-warm parka. It looks great, feels even better, and the price is right. don't hesitate, it's a great coat.

A Roomy Mid-Weight Coat
This is not what I would call a heavyweight coat but it's adequate for most of the SW Ohio winters. Most of our winter temps are in the 30 degree range and being someone who is more comfortable with cool weather over hot, this coat will do for the most part. Of course at some point during our winters we are still apt to get some 0 degree weather. Fortunately this coat is roomy enough to wear a heavyweight hooded sweatshirt under it so it should be fine for anyone that doesn't mind doing that. BTW, I like that it is roomy. As for durability, I can't really comment on that yet since I've only had it about a month. I can say that I did not notice any defects in the workmanship when unpacking. The coat has plenty of pockets including an inside one. All in all I guess it's worth the $44 I paid for it. To get a really thick one I expect I'll have to pay 75 to at least 100% more if I can find my size that is (3x).

This is a well made wind breaker with a sewed in liner. But there is no insulation beyond the fleece liner.
This is a well made wind breaker with liner. But there is no insulation beyond the fleece liner. In the cold weather that we are having, I was hoping for an insulated coat. This is not what I was hoping for, but it will do. It is large enough so that I can wear a sweatshirt under it. And it is a definite wind breaker. It seals up nicely. And as I said, it well made. This coat has plenty of room. But when you order it, you should still order a size larger than you need. The extra space inside the coat can be used for sweaters or layers of extra clothing to keep you warm in really cold weather. The shell of this coat blocks the wind nicely.

Warmer than expected, nice coat
I was surprised by this coat. For a little over twenty bucks, I didn't expect much. What I got was more than a jacket, it's actually pretty darn warm. I grew up in Wyoming, and have to say that this coat would have worked for all but the coldest days.Build quality is decent. The zippers aren't metal, they're silver plastic, but they do work fine, and are sewn in correctly.I would caution you on buying a tall size unless you really need it. I'm 6'2", and the regular fit fine, it was just long enough to cover my waist. The tall probably would have been too long, even for me. If you like the sleeves extra long, get the tall, because the ones on the regular hit right at my wrist watch. All in all, much better than I expected for the price.

Stylish Parka good down to about 20 degrees F
This is an excellent value for the dollar. Water resistant fabric, fleece lining, ample room, pockets with snaps, heavy duty zipper, zipper cover with snaps, and a hood. Good quality manufacturing. This has been excellent in weather down to about 20 degrees F. It doesn't have a heavy-enough insulation to work into the below-zero temperatures we frequently get so I'll need to keep my old parka (that this was to have replaced) around for a while longer. This is quite stylish so it is well worth keeping.

there aren't a lot of choices for winter coats that he's happy with. I saw this one on sale and ...
Purchased this coat to replace an identical one that my husband already owned. This is the 3rd one he's owned. The first one, the zipper broke on. The second, the pocket ripped off the front. But for a bigger guy, there aren't a lot of choices for winter coats that he's happy with. I saw this one on sale and snapped it up. For the price, it was worth it.This isn't a sturdy, super warm, last for years kind of coat. It's a lighter weight, one or two season coat. Expect to replace it. It's not going to last for years. But for something to throw on while you shovel snow or go between the house and the car, it works great. It looks nice on him and it kept him happy knowing he had a new coat that the pocket wasn't falling off on.If I see it on sale next season, I'd buy another.
