I bought this product 3 years ago and have been very impressed with the quality, durability and the design. The boats are pretty water proof: occassionally the 5 year old runs them upside down in the water and has dropped the controller in the water with no ill effects. I tried the boat battery compartment when we were done. No water go into the interior of the boat beyond the battery compartment and the rechargable battery is encapsulated to protect it from water. No water got into the interior of the controller. The boats came with two sets of batteries so you can be charging one set while using the other. They also came with spare propellers in case you break them by running into too many rocks. Ours are still doing fine after many uses in our nearby river. They are pretty easy to use, one control for forward and one control to turn left or right. They go fast and churn the water behind them quite well. These boats have provided many hours of entertainment. It is one of the best and most enduring of toys we have purchased for our grand children. I would like to thank the engineers who designed it. Our grandchildren range in age from 5 to 18. The older kids are better at controlling them than the five year old but the five year old gets lots of fun out of it any way. They all enjoy it. Our border collie enjoys it as well although we have to restrain her because she likes to grab them out of the water and toss them in the air. So far no harm done. The kids get a big kick out of racing the boats under her legs when she is wading in the water.

These were fun! For the price you just can't complain

The boats worked well and were easy to operate and charge. They are not water tight and when they turn over they can get water in them. It did not seem to effect the operation much but I did dry them out when I saw water in them.

My dad and my son love them! They take them in the pond often! Probably best Christmas gift for them!

Batteries didn’t last that long

Bought for son’s birthday to drive in his new pool and race with his family. He says it runs great and perfect size for his pool.

This thing is so slow. Pros: Battery last a while. It works. Comes with 6 batteries and extra propellers, although I hit my vacuum line more than a few times and the props were fine. Cons: Ridiculously slow. Don't expect anything beyond a kids toy. The controller best fits a kids hand. Battery compartment for the controller is needlessly behind a screw. It's just not all that fun. Quality is fine for what you'd expect in a 3 pack, but I can't see anyone getting excited about this. Probably a good starter pack to determine if you want a "real" RC boat. I ran it through its paces, it maneuvers "meh" but does have enough power to get out of a pool skimmer entrance as long as it doesn't go behind the flapper.

We have had these for a year now and they are fun! It comes with two sets of batteries for extended use. The controllers control each boat separate and works great at playing tag and or racing and fun with all three boats running at once. Make sure not to dunk the boat completely under water they are not completely water tight in that way.

Funcionan muuy bien y cumplen con su objetivo en albercas o bañeras grandes, tienen buen desempeño, tanto en velocidad como respuesta, vienen con dos pilas que duran unos 10 - 15 minutos de uso cada una pero es mas que suficiente para que los niños y adultos se diviertan. Lo recomendable es prender una a una y probar que control le corresponde a cada una y marcarlos para que NO haya confucion.
