Works Like a 'Snap' Every time
Sorry! I couldn't help for the pun. :) I have a small manufacturing team of seamstresses who use these when they are finishing the handbags, belts and other items. As long as you mark where the snaps need to be placed to ensure correct placement on the garment, you will be adding snaps with ease. We bought a few sets a couple of years ago and they came with the miniature-sized mallets and also a stone base, about 5" x 8", is used to provide a strong place to tap the snaps into place. The mallet also has tools conveniently stored inside the handle - you just have to unscrew the bottom of the handle. Anyway, if you have issues handling small items due to arthritis or other debilitating disorder, this tool is great for saving your fingers and wrists. Snaps can be found to fit at most sewing supply stores - even Wally World carries the sizes appropriate. We have three different sized Snap Fitters(14" 16" 24") and we purchase colored, pearl and plain snaps in various sizes to add a decorative edge to our creations. Buy this product. You will not be disappointed!

Hate it!
Hate it. Sorry I disagree with the others who posted. It takes 3 hands to use this. 2 hands for the snap setter itself. it's very clumsy to get apart and hurts my hands. Another hand to hold the fabric in place. The old fashioned way with a spool of thread on top of the snap is more efficient than this. And it will only work for one size of snap.

Love my Snapsetter.
I love this Snapsetter. The tool is very easy to use and it came with very clear instructions. I actually saw someone using this online and I knew that I had to get one myself. It is very accurate and fool proof. The snaps with other snap fastening tools can sometimes mess up the prongs but this works like a champ I LOVE IT.

easy
I've used one of these for years. I find that the snaps will easily go thru two layers of flannel - plus interfacing (iron on, light weight to mid weight). Lining all of those layers up with this tool - piece of cake. OK - noisy - because you do have to hit it with a hammer (see the hammer on their website) at least 3 times. But still better than any of the tools that you have to squeeze together.

Nifty little gadget
Product works very well for setting snaps. You can purchase an adapter piece if you plan to use other sizes besides a size 16 snap.

Worked much better than other tools I have tried.

Works great
I bought a Cropadile before this to set snaps, only to find out it only works with special snaps made for Cropadile. This snapsetter is very simple, works great every time, and is fool proof.
