i get a double blue light when fist plugged in then nothing is it working?

I’ve had many of these plug ins & never had that happen. Try another outlet to make sure it’s not an outlet problem. If the plug in gets warm and you can smell the scent it’s working. I’d still be concerned about the blue light. You can always contact manufacturer, return or exchange

Arr these better than Glade and Air Wick or about the same?

While we don't have information about Glade or Air Wick products, with Febreze PLUG Gain Original Scent, you can expect just-right floral notes that will have your guests wondering where you’re hiding that flower garden. Also, you can select the level of intensity to control how much freshness is released. We hope you'll check out our website for even more details. The Febreze Team
