Review: Fits 12 year old skull goes to the back of the head - I never wore a helmet riding bikes growing up, so I never worried about it with my kids, then my son wrecked his bike on the street slammed his head and ended up with a pretty Nasty concussion that laid him up for 2 weeks. We have bike helmets but he's 12 and they aren't "cool". After his wreck we found this and he likes it enough to wear it without being reminded. And the other one we have his brother wears. Lesson learned. This helmet is comfortable and does look pretty cool. He got the yellow one the black one would have looked cooler but his helmet. The skull face goes to the rear. At first I thought it was like a mask and thought that was a terrible idea.

A: This is a youth helmet.  The youth size fits 8+ and a head circumference of 19.5" to 22".  Thanks!

A: It does not have a harness but it’s a well built adjustable helmet

**Q: Can you use this helmet to ski?**
A: No, this is not a ski/snowboard helmet and is not recommended. Source: ski & snowboard instructor.

**Q: Does it fit for typical 14 years old boys?**
A: In my opinion, unless your child is small, an adult sized helmet may fit a teenager better than a youth sized one. This fits my 7 year old.

I never wore a helmet riding bikes growing up, so I never worried about it with my kids, then my son wrecked his bike on the street slammed his head and ended up with a pretty Nasty concussion that laid him up for 2 weeks. We have bike helmets but he's 12 and they aren't "cool". After his wreck we found this and he likes it enough to wear it without being reminded. And the other one we have his brother wears. Lesson learned. This helmet is comfortable and does look pretty cool. He got the yellow one the black one would have looked cooler but his helmet. The skull face goes to the rear. At first I thought it was like a mask and thought that was a terrible idea.

My 6-year old loves his new helmet. His head is a little bit small for this helmet but it will grow into it soon enough. The "skull" look is subtle compared to other graphics I've seen on other helmets which I vetoed when my son said he liked those. This actually has a bit of Storm Trooper look to it, and he loves Star Wars so it was easy for him to choose this over other designs. He hasn't fallen while wearing this helmet (thumbs up!) so I can't say how this helmet will hold up. And the price was exceptional so it was a great purchase.
