where country is this made in?

Per the box, it was designed in the UK and made in PRC which I assume is the People's Republic of China. Don't let that deter you, though, because this splint really heals trigger finger!

How would I know which size to purchase?

This is adjustable so I bought the large/xlarge because I have very long, thin fingers and the straps to hold it on can be pulled tight.

i want to love this but where the velcro is sewn on it sticks out and rubs my other finger. Anyone deal with this?

I don't have this problem but here's a suggestion: attach the Velcro before you slip the splint on. You'll have to "guesstimate" how tightly to wrap it and may have to adjust it a couple of times but you will probably get more of the Velcro to adhere.
