Nice Neckband Earbud for Android or MP3 players
I use this Sennheiser PMX 684i neckband with an Android phone, Sansa MP3 player, and Amazon fire tablet. The design uses a wired connection with a standard 3.5mm audio jack. The earbuds are connected with a neckband which prevents falling out of my ears when jogging or doing any other active sport. When in my ears, the earbuds are slightly angled, allowing me to hear the environment around me, in addition to listening to music. With my android Samsung Galaxy S7, the inline control has a microphone which adequately picks up my voice when on calls. There is no wind cover so when using the microphone in windy areas, you need to shield it to avoid roaring wind noise. The inline control also has controls which are supposed to be used with Apple devices for volume up, volume down, and play/pause. For my Android phone and Amazon tablet, only the play/pause control works. For my Sansa MP3 player, none of the inline controls work. If the inline controls don't work, it just means that you need to control those functions from the phone, tablet, or MP3 player itself which is not a big deal. All in all, a very nice set of earbuds that perform well in any environment!

Great for running!
I have been using over the head headphones for probably 20 years, and they're getting harder to find. Earbuds will NOT stay in my ears, and I've tried those over the ear headphones, with the same bad result. I run and rollerblade so I'm always concerned about my headphones staying in place. These are the first pair I've ever had that wrap around the back, and they're great! I rarely have to adjust them. They fit even when I wear a hat. The cord is a good length (reaches an iPod clipped to my waist, with a little extra length that I tuck in my shorts). I have not had any issue with sweat causing any problems. Overall, the sound is good. I do feel like I'm missing some of the bass compared to my last headphones, but that's about it. The only issue I have is trying to wear them when laying down. That's not really what they're meant for, so no big deal. You can do it, but sometimes the buds shift in your ears to a less than ideal placement.NOTE: These are a little expensive but I recommend watching the price. I kept looking at them for a couple of months and then caught a great sale!

Wired headphones still beat wireless (but take care of that wire!)
As long as you can tolerate the headphone wire the obvious reason why wired is better is they'll always work because they don't require a battery. However, as the headphone jack is becoming a thing of the past on mobile devices (I still use my iPhone 6+ for this very reason), it's understandable wired headphones like this may not survive the ages. With my old tiny iPod clipped to my shirt sleeve, it's especially easy to tolerate the headphone wire during workouts. However, wired headphones like this are easily subject to unexpected stresses on the wire connection at the headset itself. That connection point is the weakest link with respect to longevity of this product. The second weakest link is the plug that connects to your audio device jack (as mentioned in other reviews). I know this because I learned the hard way as this is a replacement headset. My original Sennheiser heaphones like this died because of the connection at the headset and the connection at the plug both failed due to what I consider to be natural stresses that should have been anticipated by the manufacturer. So, to prevent similar future problems I engaged the following hacks:1) I used two small wire ties (see photo) to completely remove any future stress from the wire connection at the headset itself. Now any unexpected stresses on the wire take place at the neckband frame itself and not the earpiece connection.2) I applied a heat shrink wrap to both extend the shielding and to provide a larger grip surface for the purpose of attaching and especially for detaching the plug from the audio device (see photo). This also reduces the stress area from the end of the wire by the plug itself.3) I used a drop of shoe repair glue at the wire clip to prevent it from falling off the wire (this is the first thing you're going to lose if you choose to use it).The only other complaints I have about this product that prevent me from giving it five stars are:1) the volume / play controller on the wire itself. It should be easier to discern the center play / pause button from the volume up / down buttons on each side of it.2) the black foam earpiece covers either disintegrate or simply fall off way too soon. And though the unit comes with a few backup covers, they're also gone in short order. So, for $6 bucks you can buy a pack of 100 replacement covers on Amazon here:https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07F679GPL/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s03?ie=UTF8&psc=1Nonetheless, this is the most comfortable and high performance headphones I've ever experienced with it comes to headphones that both sound great and simply won't fall off if you don't want them to. Hopefully, Sennheiser will continue to keep these around for years to come. Then again, hopefully manufacturers will continue to design their electronics with headphone jacks.Update 5/31/24:I just replaced the unit reported on above because an earpiece and completely snapped off of the head band. Ughh. I got decent use out of it and, as reported, there is simply NOTHING else on the market that can compare to this if a wired headset is your goal. This time I paid the extra for a full three-year extended Assurion warranty. We'll see how that goes.In the mean time, I wish to report the atrocious customer support by Sennheiser corporate regarding the lime-yellow earpiece wrapper / collar (I'll call it "collar" from here) that gets covered by the foam covers. Over time, that collar will fatigue and lose its integrity such that the full combination of yellow collar AND the foam cover WILL attempt to escape away from you. I've lost count hunting for these over the past year and miraculously / fortunately found them every time. So I thought, "why not simply buy additional collars as I've been doing with the foam covers?" Nope. Sennheiser doesn't have them (despite them being listed as a part of one of their websites). I know this because I spoke to a higher-up at their east coast (I think it's New Jersey) corporate office who promised to get back in touch with me in response to my complaint. Sadly, she confessed I had reached a dead end where she could not help me beyond her claim my desired part was unavailable. What she was really saying was, "we're not interested in helping our customers keep their headsets alive over time." Why would they say that? Because they know there's nothing else out there that compares. These collars WILL wear out which means the collars covered by the foam covers will eventually begin falling off if you are, in any way, careless when you remove them from your head. Treat these delicately and you'll extend the life. This is my fourth pair in roughly eight years. Shame on Sennheiser for not properly supporting this unique product.

Nice workout headphones
Surprisingly good bass and sound quality for earphones that sit on your ear. I hate in-ear (earplug) type headphones when working out, because I can hear my breathing and feet hitting the ground. These don't do that. These replaced older Sennheiser earphones that locked into my ears, which apparently they don't make anymore (that aren't the in-ear type).Pros:- Lightweight- Good sound quality- Doesn't seal ear canalCons:- Cord is too long for shoulder-mounted mp3 player- Would prefer 90 degree angle plug- Would prefer not having inline volume adjustment, it makes the cord heavier and bounces around when running
