It fits the samurai hand saw of similar shape
I bought this with the intention of replacing the Samurai scabbard which I lost. Turns out it fits quite well and I actually prefer its tightness to the Samurai one. Just wanted to let anyone else who was wondering the same thing know.

Good initial impression .. but using it revealed design flaws
I have only used this scabbard with a 14" Corona RS 7395 saw. I don't know how it works with other model saws.Pros:It looks good out of the box.Lightweight yet sturdy plastic.Value priced under $15.Cons:The belt attachment pivot is secured by a screw into threaded plastic. Weak design. The saw handle fits into the scabbard by friction. There is no positive 'click'.The saw's retention is variable and can jam in very tight. There is a useless slot near the tip showing the serrated teeth. A slot for a leg strap would have been better.**CAUTION: You MUST push the raised thumb notch to start the saw out of the scabbard in a controlled manner (instead of just pulling the saw out). Otherwise, the saw can fly out, especially if wedged in tight.I probably won't buy this scabbard again. It needs to be redesigned to address the above issues.

Pleased with scabbard
Before buying this scabbard, I carefully read several reviews, finding both positive and negative views. Upon receiving mine this morning, I turned the saw on its side and carefully slid it in place keeping the spine of the saw against the top of the scabbard, as per one reviewer's instructions. This worked very well. Because it seems to "lock" in place when fully placed in the scabbard, I feared I would have trouble getting it out, as one reviver stated. Again, I turned the saw on its side, and with firm pressure to keep the spine against the top of scabbard, I got it out with no trouble. If placed in correctly, the rollers in the scabbard allow the saw to come out without too much effort. Keep in mind, if this scabbard were for straight saws, instead of curved pruning saws, the placement and extraction would not be an issue. I will note the rollers will be marred by the teeth, but this also happened to a friend's shorter Felco saw. I do not see this as an issue.

Fits RS-7120 but belt loop came apart first use
Bought this and was unsure if it would fit the saw that I own, a Corona RS-7120, and fortunately it does. Unfortunately, however, the part that holds the belt loop onto the scabbard fell apart the first time I used it. It only took a regular 6mm bolt from the local hardware store to fix it again, and maybe a nut if that falls out, but it was pretty inconvenient for it to happen while I was on the job. I don't think this is necessarily a fatal flaw with the scabbard, because chances are if you're buying it you also have the wherewithal to go to the hardware store and spend $0.49 to repair it.I'd also like to note that the belt loop fits on my wide military-issue belt that I use for my work tools.

We don't typically carry it on the belt and insert and withdraw the saw like a sword
I belong to a volunteer organization which maintains trails in the national Forest. We have a half dozen or so of these scabbards for our saws. I was surprised by a few reviews which have noted problems because ours serve our purpose well. The one I recently bought works well is the same as one which have been in use for years. These saws are extremely sharp and are very dangerous if carried without some protection. These plastic scabbards are light weight and work well strapped to or shoved into a pack. We don't typically carry it on the belt and insert and withdraw the saw like a sword. To do that you would need to hold the scabbard with one hand while pulling the saw out. The value of this scabbard is protection to persons, equipment and packs from the razor sharp teeth.

Keeps my saw handy and holds it well
Does exactly what it is supposed to. Fits snug, and doesn't add bulk, so the saw fits into my pack very nicely. I carry it as I hike and can quickly pull the saw out to cut fallen branches and logs off the trail.
