Review: Shark cleaning beast! Updated after 6 months, really happy! - I'm really happy with my purchase! I've only run the battery out once. Today. I hadn't vacuumed for a couple of weeks and I ran it on high almost the whole time, but I did get finished and had to empty the canister twice. Yeah, that dirty! My 2 daughters have Dysons. Until I bought a Shark Navigator, almost everything that blows or sucks in the house is a Dyson. I like my Shark better than theirs and it cost half as much. Theirs has no light shining on the floor ahead of you and believe me, you can't get stuff you can't see swept up! Also, with this you see clear tracks on the floor where the dust is now missing. Not just the dirt! It is amazing and I didn't want the light! The Dysons are quieter but they don't have a carpet cleaning setting. Turning on the carpet roller makes it noisier. I really like having the trigger to pull that makes the suction stronger. I use it about half the time...except today after having neglected cleaning for a couple of weeks. My dog sheds like crazy and it does the job pretty well. I do choose to vacuum the carpets every other week with the Navigator. It lifts the carpet nap better and gets up a bit more out of the nap. The stick does clean it well to the eye. Suction - my Shark picks up a lot of things on the floor that the Dysons can't; like leaves and dog kibble. It keeps pulling up all kinds of stuff until it just quits and then you know the battery has run out. Only twice since I bought it in November 2021. The front sponge roller popped out when I was using it today. Never before. It had picked up a corner of a rug. I cleaned out the area that holds it and put it right back in without having to look up how. Really nice! It's great! I am really happy! 6 months ago - Get one of these great cleaners while they are offering discounts! This quite surpassed my expectations for cleaning. The Vertex technology of having a solid, soft roller in front is amazing at cleaning, even the DUST off of my hard surfaces! I thought I wanted to be able to turn off the front headlights, but NO! I love seeing the absolutely dust-free/furless paths I am leaving on my floors. You need to do an internet search for reviews on Vertex! That's what sold me! I am the daddy of a canine shedding machine and I am disabled with walking and balance issues. I am so glad I'll be able to vacuum as often as I want to. I am the owner of a Shark Navigator that sucks rugs off the floor. This isn't that powerful but I am really satisfied! It got my rugs clean with one pass. And my hard floors are sparkling clean! I was a bit scared about the weight of this vacuum because of my disability. You need not be. This is well balanced and although it won't stand up on its own, it will steadily lean on table/counter high surfaces like the back of a chair. Vacuuming for me used to mean fighting a cord wrapping around my cane and my back hurting for days. No more and I felt safe & steady using this vacuum. Do NOT be scared away by the reviews about static shocks! I used it through a full charge 3 times yesterday without a hint of static shock. It held a charge for at least 40 minutes while having the carpet roller operating about half the time. I am pleased with how long the charge lasts and how quickly it recharged. The cleaning head goes easily under the furniture that I kept a dust mop for. That sucker's out of my way now! My model comes with 3 tools; a crevice tool, a multi-angle duster, and a 'pet' upholstery tool that is converts from a 4" brush to a flat fuzzy tool. The motor assembly is easy to detach to use these tools. I am pleased to have the HEPA filtration but it wasn't a feature I felt I needed. I used it on carpet setting a bunch but VERY seldom used the boost suction mode, which does need to be constantly held on with your finger. But you won't be needing it except for bad spot cleaning! This picked up multiple leaves that were on my floors from heavy holiday traffic. I was pleasantly surprised. My upright only gets about half of them. I have multiple Dyson products in my house and a Dyson vacuum in the basement that after 4 years broke and won't switch from hose to floor. When I got my Shark upright Navigator I was blown away with the increased suction that seemed twice the Dyson. So, when I shopped for a cordless stick vacuum I didn't heed my daughters' encouragement that I follow them back into Dyson world with this and went straight to Shark! I am really glad to have the 5 year warranty on the vacuum and 2 year on the REPLACABLE battery! Don't spend hundreds of dollars on a vacuum that doesn't have a removable/replaceable battery! I'll admit that after my Dyson experience I did buy the $35 extended warranty for peace of mind. I found two 'con' issues but they were definitely not deal breakers! If you do some heavy cleaning you will have to reach into the dust cup and remove the wad of debris that wraps around the metal mesh post. I noticed some hair wrapped around the back beater-bar and when I turned over the cleaning head to easily open the cover to the bar, I found a bunch of dog hair on the brush bars that catch any errant fur. It was easy to pull off with my fingers. I would never bother to do that regularly. I just noticed it when I was getting my daughter-in-law's really long hair unwrapped from the bar. That will only be a holiday experience. I'll update this in a few weeks, but I wanted to encourage you to take advantage of the discounts being offered. I am so very happy I got this vacuum now!

BEST vacuum absolutely best stick vacuum - I had to "downsize" ....my previous vacuum was a Dyson.with the ball and I LOVED that vacuum, tho it had become a bit much on me to maneuver around the 500 sq. Ft i was using it in A good friend has one of these and has 1200 sq ft with 2 dogs and a cat so during a wk long visit I was impressed with the Shark unit she was using for her home and so when came home did some research on what my needs are and I couldn't have been happier....its been 1 full yr and I'm as happy today as day 1 I have a senior cat and his long hair sheds more now than ever and more liter finds its way ....well everywhere . Along with downsizing I wanted something that would be lightweight , still powerful and wouldn't have a problem with the fur , took up minimal space and had multiuse function Well this is ALL I could want im now in 470 square ft. N this shark has multi tools that are ACTUALLY on board they stay put , convert it down to a hand vacuum n use the crevice tool for your car as well as the tight corners and i find the charge is quick and last several days After 1 yr I LOVE MINE and would and have recommended to friends and family

**Q: Has anyone found a source of replacement batteries?**
A: I have not looked for any

**Q: Can stick be removed and canister attached to brush head to use on stairs/couches?**
A: Stick handle and tank are the main top portion which can be removed and used as handheld, with two attachments included that work on furniture/stairs/corners.  Dusting attachment works on TVs, mantles, windowsills etc. but stairs would make sense too.

**Q: Is there any place to store the attachments?**
A: Not on the unit itself.

**Q: is it compatible to 220v**
A: It’s not packaged with any kind of adapters or converters. So not likely.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ First impressions are good.

First, my thoughts on the "Multiflex" feature: Pros: - It is easy enough to control with the hinge unlocked and can get under furniture that most vacuums cant without needing to bend over. This works very well. - It folds to be quite small and can be stowed easily. Cons: - It cannot stand upright on its own unless it is folded. This can be a minor nuisance if you want to pause mid-clean. In summary: It's not a gimmick. I find myself using this feature regularly and it works as advertised. Next, the battery: Pros: - Nothing in particular Cons: - Battery life leaves something to be desired, but it does vary on usage type. - Spare batteries are not readily available, and are very expensive. - No charging dock, just a lame wall wart. - Recharge time is 3 hours. In summary: With 60 minutes of runtime (at best, often less), 3 hours of charge time, and no convenient or affordable way to keep a fresh battery or two to swap to, this is a big downside that makes this vacuum poorly suited for whole house cleaning. Now for the "Clean Sense IQ": Pros: - Seems to do a good job of detecting and adjusting the power level - Display is useful for telling how much dirt remains embedded in rugs. Cons: - Only two modes of manual control, Eco of Full Power, but I haven't found myself needing to use the manual modes much. In summary: Not a gimmick either. More manual control wouldn't hurt, but it gets the job done. The "Duo Clean" rollers: Pros: - Seamlessly switching between hard floor and carpet/rug cleaning with no adjustments or parts swapping. - Does a good job of avoiding tangles, although I don't need to deal with very long hair. I mainly need to deal with endless pet hair and dirt/dust from a large dog. It handles both easily. - Slightly buffs hard floors. It won't replace mopping, but maybe you'll get away with doing it a little less often? Cons: - None so far In summary: Not a gimmick. Not much more to say. The Odor Neutralizer: Pros: - None Cons: - Another unnecessary consumable item In summary: A gimmick. Does it work... Maybe? But what problem is this actually solving? This is a lazy attempt to get people to buy $15 cartridge refills for a pointless feature. That said, you can safely ignore it I guess. Noise and Suction: Pros: - Suction is very strong. - Eco is pretty quiet. Cons: - Full power is pretty loud. In summary: Were it not for the short battery life, this vacuum could be strong enough to replace most upright wired vacuums. The dustbin: Pros: - Seals properly and holds the dust. What more can we expect? - Empties easily (also a con though, see below). Cons: - Projectile launches dust and debris, which can leave a cloud of dust. Only open it directly into your trash can, and perhaps consider doing so outside. - Very small, but that is perhaps to be expected of this type of vacuum. In summary: Not the strongest feature of the unit, but its par for the course. Attachments: Haven't used them yet, but the under appliance wand and dust brush seem nifty. Otherwise it looks standard fare. Does not include any way to store and organize these accessories though. Other thoughts: My unit had minor cosmetic flaws like some chipped/rubbed off paint. The unit softly locks in the upright position, which disables the rollers. This happens often when using the unit, and you need to pop it back into the unlocked position to continue cleaning. This is meant for when the unit is folded and stored to keep it from falling over, but it interferes with use and is a minor nuisance. TLDR: It is not perfect, but seems very good where it counts based on initial experiences. The biggest flaw is the battery life, but for smaller tasks it is a powerhouse. With a bit more polish and refinement this could be a perfect product, but it is still a solid option for it's category.
