I wasn’t expecting much from this moisturizer, but wow — this little tube understood the assignment. My skin is usually oily by lunchtime, and most moisturizers either sit on top of my face or make me look like I deep‑fried something. This one absorbs fast, feels lightweight, and somehow keeps my skin balanced without that greasy shine.The texture is smooth, not sticky, and it layers well under sunscreen. I’ve also noticed fewer random breakouts since using it consistently. For the price, it honestly performs better than some of the “fancy” brands I’ve tried.If you have oily or acne‑prone skin and want something simple, clean, and effective, this is a solid pick. I’ll definitely repurchase.

Overall, I think this is a good moisturizer, especially for those with oily skin(that’s also simultaneously dry, and not combination as in one patch dry, one patch oily. No, I have a whole face that produces enough oil that I could fry chicken with while also being dry and itchy and if it gets bad enough flaky. Don’t ask me why, I just live in it.) like myself. It’s one of the only moisturizers, oil-based or otherwise, that both hydrates and doesn’t make my face greasy. That being said, there are things I both like and dislike about it.Pros: Non-greasy, relatively simple ingredient list(though I don’t know if I’d call it minimalist as the brand name says), moisturizing, makes a good base for makeup, nice texture, good size for the price.Cons: It smells awful. If you have a strong nose like I do it smells almost like old liquor, and it’s terrible. But it’s also fragrance free, so that’s the price we pay(willingly). You’ll sometimes need to use a lot if you’re extra extra dry, but that is also to be expected with a non-oil based moisturizer. The tube design is really annoying, both early on but most especially when you get to the end. I’d pay a little extra for it to come in like a glass container or something.

The moisturizer is light weight, guides on smoothly and leave skin feeling fresh.

This is a great lightweight lotion. I bought it because I started Adapalene and my skin was so dry and it definitely combatted dryness without feeling heavy. I have very reactive skin however and I noticed this made my skin feel really oily compared to normal. Specifically when I use it before bed, I wake up more oily than normal. It’s really good for oily skin. I use it under my BB cream, and it doesn’t make my skin greasy.

This is my second tube of this moisturizer and my skin just loves it very much. I have combination skin and this is a great moisturizer that checks off the boxes of not greasy and not too light weight. It's lightweight, feels smooth on the skin and a great gel consistency. Unfortunately, like the title says, I feel like I go through these tubes too quickly and I only use a pea sized amount once in the morning and once in the evening. I don't know if I get a fault item or the manufacturer by default under fills it because it is disappointing how fast I go through this. For the same amount, the Good Molecules Hydrating Gel in the light blue tube lasts me a solid 3 months before repurchase, and I use the same sized amount at the same frequency, however that one became incompatible with my skin after a while in terms of stickiness. This is why I am giving the Minimalist moisturizer a 3 star, I feel like I am not getting my money's worth of product in the tube. I will repurchase sadly until I find something with a similar feel and consistency for my skin. You can see in the picture just above the Minimalist branding in the tube the line of remaining product (the darker shadow).

I started this product at the same time I began my whole routine to help with rosacea, acne, and overall redness. It's a good moisturizer and it hydrates my skin, there's no specific fragrance and it's super light weight, it lasts pretty long on my face, the only problem is like if the quantity is too much it makes my face too shiny since I like matte finish on my skin i didn't liked the shiny effect.

I've been using this for about a year now, one tube last me about 6 months to a year! I am on my second? My first tube might exist in a purse somewhere truthfully haha <3 ANYWAY. I love this very much. I deal with eczema, pcos which predisposed me to combination acne which includes discovering that I'm facing Malassezia, the ever so hungry acne... It is very hard to find appropriate products meaning : One that does not have lipids and essential oils and all those delicious ingredients so often found in lotions and moisturizers... and when you have eczema, the natural products targeted at you are full of these oils & fats...and that is food for yeast, and because of my acne type that's not good for me.. :( It's a MESS. I have to be SO careful! I am dealing with a secondary skin condition that aggravated & exaggerated by the primary one's relief! so...after hours, days of researching for an affordable and simple product here on Amazon, running their ingredients through the help of the system over at sezia.co I found THIS ... and i love it! It's unscented, boring in the best way possible, gentle, and full of GREAT ingredients! I break out during my cycle bc PCOS/Hormonal acne, and that's it. NOT because of this lotion and i THANK YOU FOR THAT!!! My skin is so wonky, and it's hard to find what doesn't set it off, from the top of my scalp to my literal toenails - I was so happy to find this. I am lost without it, and I feel the difference when I start going 3+ days without it! Thank you for existing. Please don't ever change this, or drop this.
