Amazing book, would love a series.
The book was amazing, I would highly recommend it. I’ll definitely be purchasing multiple copies for friends and their kids. I would love it if this turned into a series and not just a stand alone.

Fun, interactive, engaging
This is a fun, interactive book that is engaging. The premise is that the main character, Penelope Strudel, has to work her way through a treasure hunt of sorts. Her quirky Uncle Derek Custard has placed clues throughout his manor. The clues are in the form of letters, and the activities include mazes, look & find pictures, math problems, figuring out codes, and more. The answers are at the end. This is a clever way to get kids to do some learning activities, and to encourage reading and observational skills.I'm glad that the main character is a girl and not a boy. My daughter would be less interested in this, and wouldn’t relate as well to the character if it was a boy.The age range is a little young. It's listed as for 5-7 years. A 5 year old will not be able to read a lot of this, but could complete some of the activities if an adult read them the instructions.Overall it's a fun and interesting book. It's almost like the child & book version of the classic game, Clue.

I love this book!
My kids and I are totally on board with this book - it isn't your standard book but we won't be able to do it forever! This book is engaging and extremely fun. I found that my kids really like to search for things and really enjoy interactive books - we have a Christmas book that has letters and puzzles and such you pull out and this was just a huge hit and with nothing that could fall out and get lost!Great for kids - but you will need to read this to your child unless they are a very early reader. This helps kids learn to look for certain things by listening to the clues - this is a great skill that will come in handy in life and at school. From math problems, codes, mazes and look and find pages this book has it all along with a fun main character.Fair PriceExcellent Book for kids!

Great Search and Find For Toddlers
While my 2 year old can't read the book or enjoy some of the puzzles I have high hopes she will enjoy this book for years to come as she learns. Currently she loves this book to do the search and find portion. She can't read what she needs to find but I look at the list and tell her to find the key. She will look all over and point it out when she finds it. This is a great way for us to spend time together. I read the main parts of the book to her and then she "helps me" find all the items. She loves this book. I am sure hoping she is going to enjoy it just as much when she can read it for herself. The book is engaging and she loves finding all the different items and even pointing out random things she finds. Great book.

Delightful drawings
My children, ages 4 and 7, adore this book. Every other page is a puzzle; mazes, scrambled words, coded messages, etc. (similar to what you'd find in highlights magazine). The other set of pages are all search and find pictures similar to Where's Waldo. The drawings are cheerful and colorful. The difficulty of the puzzles is about right for a 7-10 year old. The search and finds are doable for ages 4 and up. My only slight complaint is that the search and finds are a little too easy. But with the delightful illustrations and cute storyline I highly recommend this book for 4-10 year olds. Especially if the child likes I-Spy, Waldo, or highlights magazine.
