Q: What happens when cherries are not in season? Can I power this with other fruit?

These are speakers, cherry in color, not a food.

Q: Should the power switch on the back remain on when not in use? there is a loud "thud" when i turn them off using this switch. the main unit stays hot.

The heat baffles on mine stay hot as well. I just turn them off via the switch in the back when not in use. I get the loud thud with other speakers I have (different brands) in other rooms.

I love my Rockville speakers, I have pushed them to the max. The built in amplifier never over heats ,no strange sounds at all. I did a test and hooked up a pc with a defective sound card and heard a slight squealing sound the removed that device and sound went away. So to those claiming strange sounds coming from your speakers before blaming the speakers check the device you are hooking your speakers to first. I have tested over 10 different devices and not one problem,no hissing,no squealing,no popping when turning on and off.Also check the way you connect to speakers. I use 5.1 Bluetooth,I use gold plated rca and 3.5.mm cable and top of the line optical cable As a high end mobile stereo installer cabling and equipment matter.
