This thing is great for tea. It's better than a kettle. A kettle requires you to heat a full pot of water to make a cup of tea this gives you just the water you need ranging in temps for different types of tea instantly. The cold water setting leaves a lot to be desired. The water is room temperature not cold. Which is easily solved with a few cubes of ice but it advertised cold water and that is not the case. I got it to replace my electric kettle and my Britta in the fridge. It definitely replaces the first but my fridge still has a Britta in it just in case I want actually cold water.

To start with the handle for the tank was broken on one side not to big of deal for me things happen but the missing piece is not in the box so this must have happened in manufacturing. The big kicker is the one thing I bought this for does not which is chilled water the hot side seems to work fine the pump kicks on and dispenses hot water but when you try the cold side it makes no attempt to pull in any water from the tank and just acts like it completed dispensing water after a few moments of it sitting there. Seems cheaply build and really poor QC on Aqua Optima's part requesting refund without replacement.

I was hesitant at first. Could this little plastic deal make my water cold? It does. Is the plastic used to make it this wonder on the toxic list for humans, maybe a little. It makes great hot water for tea etc. I’m not a temperature of my tea snob type though. I’m a different type. This has quickly become the most popular thing on the third floor of the house. Buy it.

The lowest temperature after heating is 175 F, which is quite hot.No way to do warm walter (e.g. ~ 100 F) or room temperature water
