Mine just arrived, it was fully assembled, but did not included any kind of instruction manual etc. How do you secure the straps around an appliance?

Move the dolly into postition against the object you are moving. Bring the long strap around the object and pass the strap end through both steel rings of the shorter strap. Now bring the end of the long strap back between the rings and pull in the direction of the object until the strap is snug. Make certain the tongue of the dolly is fully under the object and align the fixed ends of the straps on the squiggly bar so they are on adjacent valleys and the straps are centered to the load you are moving. Make certain the handle in the center of the dolly is turned to the right and the strap is as tight as you can make it. Now pull the handle to the left to tighten the strap really securely, this will take some effort but will make the dolly and the moveable piece one. You are now ready to move the object.

The description says rubber wheels, but purchasers are stating plastic wheels....which is it?

Heavy duty plastic wheels. No problems in moving fridges and stuff.

Some say the wheel diameter is 4 1/2", others, 6"? Anyone measures the actual size? Anyone has replaced wheels with the rubber units?

I just went out and measured the wheels. They are 6 inches in diameter.

Are the wheels safe to roll across hardwood floors?

I have hardwood floors and I moved kitchen appliances into the living and dining rooms while kitchen was being remodeled and no damage was done to the hardwoods. My suggestion is that if you're worried, lay cardboard on the hardwood floors as added protection.
