With the various adapters, we finally figured out which worked best on a 2001 Mustang, not too hard should fit a WIDE variety of vehicles. There's not really any part that you can put a wrench on, as the base of the antenna is purely round. If you attempt to put pliers onto it, you'll scratch the paint of the main body. In fact, accidentally dropped it onto pavement, and the pavement even scratched some of the black paint off. We'll have to see how well it holds up, but otherwise, does function as an antenna and can still receive stations.

I’m writing this review years after I bought it, honestly I have no idea if it works as an antenna, got it because it looked cool. After a year the black faded to a dark brass which still looked nice, I like it. One day it fell off the truck. The brass hardware gets weak over time. Had to drill and tap both the “antenna” and truck to get it out. Ended up cutting a bolt and making a stud to re-attach it (redneck repair). I’d recommend getting better hardware or just doing what I did.

If you do not like the long stock antenna sticking up, a shorter billet-style replacement gives the vehicle a cleaner, more modern look without much effort. Great product, sounds even better than my stock antenna. However if you have a 2011 ford ranger or any truck with a similar mount I'd recommend picking up some thin black washers because there's a little gap, about a quarter inch.
