KRAUS® Purita™ Single Handle Drinking Water Filter Faucet for Reverse Osmosis or Water Filtration System in Spot-Free Stainless Steel/Matte Black, FF-100SFSMB

Bought this because it matched the color and brand of the main faucet we got when we remodeled the kitchen. It replaced the one that came with the Amazon Basics Reverse Osmosis Water Filtration System. It is a different type than that system, so the wiring hoses are different. The old one was an "air gap" faucet which had an extra line that sent waste to a filter. The new one doesn't have that, so the waste goes directly into the drain instead. Also the diameter of the waste hose was a different size. But once it was all installed properly, not only does it look great, but the water seems clearer and cleaner coming out, because the old air gap one would put tiny bubbles into the water making it look kinda foggy. This one the water looks perfectly clear immediately after it comes out.

This faucet looks fine and performs excellently. It came with a very good glossy multi page installation guide that gave detailed installation instructions, drawings and a parts list. It also came in an excellently designed box. This showed me the manufacturer took pride in its products. It also came with a 3/8” quick connect fitting. The instructions were for a 3/8" water line. This was a replacement for my old reverse osmosis faucet which used a ¼ inch water line and a compression fitting. When I removed my original water line from my old faucet, I noticed it was a compression fitting with a compressed plastic sleeve under the stainless attachment nut. The old line compression nut fit this new faucet. Even though this new faucet wasn't concave on the end of the stem, I attached my old line anyway and using moderate tightening, it holds water pressure with no leaks. The photo shows the original ¼ inch water line and the original compression fitting attached to the Kraus faucet stem. Kraus also has a good web site called kraususa for registering your product and troubleshooting. So far, I am quite pleased with this product. Note: This faucet has a lifetime warranty. I was not able to register my product for warranty coverage because part of the registration required a batch number which was on the box it came in. I threw the box away before I tried to register for the warranty. So register your product before you throw away the box it came in.

The process was straightforward and hassle-free. I specifically chose this faucet because it's a reputable brand. Unlike many other faucets made in China, which have only lasted me about a year before starting to drip due to faulty ceramic cartridges, the KRAUS faucet seems to promise better durability. Although it's still early days, I'm optimistic that this faucet will last much longer. It would be great if KRAUS offers replacement cartridges, unlike the non-existent options for the Chinese brands I've dealt with in the past. Another highlight is the water output pressure. My previous faucet had such high pressure that it splashed water everywhere, making it a nuisance when filling a glass. The KRAUS Purita provides a perfect balance – strong enough for efficient use but gentle enough to prevent splashing. Overall, I'm happy with this purchase so far!

I bought this Kraus Purita faucet to deliver filtered water as a companion to our Kraus Bolden kitchen sink faucet (both pictured installed). They look great together, and the Purita works well, once it's installed. That said, the installation was difficult, because of the odd size of the water connector. I wrongly assumed that it would have a standard 3/8-in. screw-on connection, like both the Kraus Bolden faucet and my water filter. (Had I read the previous reviews here, I would have seen others complaining about this too.) The Purita will only connect, though, to a 3/8 plastic tubing (not included). I had to go to the hardware store and buy a roll of plastic tubing and a compression adapter to connect it to the standard connection of the water filter. A picture of this Frankenstein combination is above. Kraus support is virtually non-existent on their website. There's some information buried in a big Q&A forum for all their filter products, but good luck finding it. This incompatibility of connections seems to be a frequent complaint of customers, which could have been avoided by including standard connections with the faucet (like they do with other products).

Great product, easily installed and works well. Love its simplicity, cleans up spotless.

We are super happy with this tap. The previous tap we used had a terribly designed attachment mechanism that would constantly slip out of place, leaving the tap to flop around, making it very difficult to use. This tap has a sturdy attachment mechanism, and the lever is a superior design as well.

Great water filter faucet replacemmet . What I like about it that it has a high flow rate . The tune off lever is so smooth and not drips . Its well made and looks great too. You won’t be disappointed. Love it!
