This sword is solidly built and sharp in edge and point. This is *not* a theatric sword unless you want to slice open your fellow actor! While the sword is generally attractive, there are no flourishes or engravings - it is a straightforward functional weapon. It is a bit heavy - but I believe that comes with the sturdiness. It comes with protective oil on its blade, which I intend to leave on it until I need to display it, or it gathers too much sand. This can be easily wiped off. The scabbard is acceptable, but minimalist - no locket, hangers, nor chape. Simple wood-core scabbard with a faux leather exterior. There is no sword frog or belt attachment included, so you will have to provide that separately. Overall better constructed and more functional than I had expected.

This is a nice sword especially at this price. Sturdy, but pliable, plain, unadorned with a nicely sharpened edge. The handle is straight with the blade and everything tight and sturdy. Handle is plain with synthetic wrapping and will do. This is a nice sword! it is small and the blade not a lot broader than a rapier, but very light, maneuverable, with extremely good balance. It appears quite sturdy, but I'm not in the habit of whacking a perfectly good sword blade against a tree to discover which breaks! for this price, grab it. If the sheath thrills you this sheath is so poor its laughable and the reason I gave it 4 stars over 5.

I initially saw this sword on the wealljuggleknives channel on YouTube and I pretty much thought if it's good enough for him it's been there for me. But actually it's much better than that. I first ordered the medieval version which is the straight blade without the small cutouts by the hilt it's well balanced with a balance point of about 1.75 in above the hilt the panels are well weighted and the sword feels light in the hand. It comes much sharper than pretty much any other sort out there and is ready for bottle cutting. I had a little trouble getting the vintage version which is the slightly leaf shaped blade with the small cutouts at the hilt. Both of them are wrapped extremely tightly with cord which provides a very comfortable grip. I had to contact the seller directly as it seems that Amazon cannot differentiate between the two or they only have one of them in stock and don't bother checking before sending it. I will tell you that it is a threaded pommel so that when you receive it you may want to unscrew it and put some screw glue or other thread locker on it but it is very sturdy. Scabbard is a leather wrapped wood but there is no belt loop or frog included so you will not be wearing this. For $129 you would usually get a glorified wall hanger these ones are actually ready to use. I look forward to seeing what this particular seller has in store for any other designs.

I purchased the "Vintage" version of this sword and am very happy that I did. I am very impressed, especially for the price point. It's straight, nicely polished, fairly sharp and well put together. The handle wrap is tight, the pomel is symmetrically machined and tightly affixed, and the scabbard is decent. Honestly I can't understand how they can make such a nice piece for just over a hundred bucks, let alone ship it all the way from China at that price. I have not tested it functionally yet, so this review is on fit and finish alone. This sword will hold me over until I can afford my dream blade from Saber Smith.Note: I have used Amazon for many years and can't remember the last time I wrote a review, but I had to for this sword. It is truly that nice.

Such a lovely blade, and adequately sharp. I'll have to clean up the edge a bit but it's something you'd have to touch to notice, visually stunning and so far sturdy and comfortable, both in weight and hand feel. Considering purchasing another for the left hand.I am disappointed in the fact that the scabbard is slightly too big as the sword will simply slide out if you're not careful. All in all though I'd have to say I'm very happy with this purchase.

Sword is very nice for the price, steel appears to be of decent quality and has a nice edge and polish on entire item. Hilt is cord wrapped and fits well in the hand. Balance is good. Sheath is plain and unremarkable, but still adds to overall appearance of the item. Rate this item as a 100% buy.

I received this package today and the sword isn’t exactly like the picture. First off there are two versions of this sword available and I think I got the other one. I’m not upset about it though. The Blade on the sword I received is straight and arrived very sharp. It is very light weight but still feels sturdy. There’s no rattle in the pommel and the leather wrap around the grip is tight. The included scabbard fits the blade pretty well, but the leather wrapped around it could be better. It fits good in a frog and hangs well on a belt. All in all for the price it is much better than I expected, even better than I would expect for twice the price. I’ll update after I’ve beat on it for a while. If I had to do it over I’d buy it again.

Perfect for a simple sword design and sturdy blade. Didn’t like the paracord, so I bought $12 of craft material and was able to replace with a real leather handle in 20 minutes (I used a 4ft leather strip and adhesive). Length is good for having on a belt. I would give 5 stars, but the sheath does not secure at the base of the blade at all so it is totally loose.
