Excellent Xeno RGB3.0 Saber for the price. The hilt is well machined high grade aluminum. Though it didn't specifically say, it does have a SD Card Slot, however (as stated in the description) it doesn't come with an SD Card. You can buy one from their website for $10. I used my own, which required me to copy the Xeno 3.0 SD Card Image files I found online from a reputable saber maker. Any 4-32GB Class 10 SD will work, make sure the partition is in FAT32. Excellent Battery Life. Excellent Blade and Hilt. Mine had 18 (not 16) pre-built-in fonts. Great sound. Great light effects. Fun and easy to assemble. Was used in heavy dueling day one, no signs of wear at all. Best of all, you can always upgrade to Xenopixel later if you want.

These basic saber hilts are simple turned aluminum alloy anodized to color, and turned or buffed to reveal the silver aluminum for contrast. They're mass-produced, and while certainly worth the money, they're nothing you will consider the life-long pinnacle of your saber collection, that's why you should be easily able to find one below the $100 price point. Avoid those that charge more. That said, they are VERY sturdy [I fumbled one on concrete on a spin, and it only left a small dent on the pommel], and as they usually come with a Xeno3 sound/light board, are perfect for both play, and practice if you want to actually learn how to 'fight' [full contact or choreographed will be fine]. These are generally base-lit [the light comes from the base of the saber and gets dimmer as it travels up the blade], so they don't have the fancy ignition animations you get from pixel blades. But if you wanted to, these hilts would easily accept a Xenopixel or Proffie board and blade to convert to the fancier light functions such would give. A lot of fun, good enough appearance that you won't be ashamed to show it to your friends, it won't break any time soon, and has great volume and sound options, with full color and flash effects [that can be done from base-lit: flash on clash, lockup, blaster block], one of these will tell you if you want to get a more expensive character saber in the future, or if they're just not for you. Great for kids AND grown-up kids as well!

I will break this review down into categories... Construction: It's sturdy. It comes apart easily, and is made of a sturdy material. The blade inserts and locks pretty typically, and it appears to be able to take a beating... although I am not actively trying to break it either. Aesthetics: Well it's a bit boring. I ordered the all silver one, and it is literally all silver... everywhere. I've ordered rubber grip tape to help add something to it for looks. But it looks good. Functionality: Here is where it loses some fun. The app integrates easily, but is seemingly a lot of fluff. It allows for limitless color options, and the sound options are variable as well. A lot of options are grayed out and not available, but this is probably my fault for not buying the more advanced model. I wish there was a way to lock down the settings once you've customized it to your liking, because I am constantly altering the colors and sounds by accident while playing with the hilt. There is only 1 button on the thing, and it's easy to accidentally hit... and force a change. A button cover would be ideal here, or at least a way to make it more difficult to accidentally hit. Something... anything really. Overall, it's a fun item, and compared to some other models out there - reasonably priced. But if I had to do it over again, I might splurge for the more options on the app and a hilt with a more difficult to hit button.

Ok so this product is epic! Everything functions great though the software and app do crash from time to time, but it has a lot going on. I love the sound, feel, and durability this product possesses. It's a great first saber in my opinion. I also love the tinkering aspect for this saber. The app could use some loving as it has a few bugs, but as long as you're patient and read the instructions it's easy to use (critical thinking required 😱). The blade colors are vibrant and the hilt is well made. The biggest issue that I noticed is that one of the batteries are dented on the negative side on my gold hilt, and the black hilt's battery has a bit of damage on the shroud. I'm not overly concerned about it but it is a little disconcerting. TLDR: All in all I am a happy big kid and want to upgrade to pixel ASAP.

My bestie loves it!!

My son purchased two lightsabers. After only one fighting match one of the lightsabers malfunctioned giving off only a dim light. We reached out to Damiensaber Amazon customer service to find out how to proceed. Ms. Alice was on it from the beginning and after sending a video of the lightsaber in action comparing it with the working lightsaber, she quickly pinpointed the issue and offered to send a new inner core. All this took less than a week to resolve and receiving the new part (time difference in email replies) and my son is now back to having awesome lightsaber fights with his friends.

This thing is AWESOME. For the price it has great Smooth Swing and the lighting is a lot better than anticipated. The app is so so, but definitely can make using it easier and it connects very easily. The hilt is sturdy and feels well built as well. I haven’t duelled with it yet, but I’m sure it’ll be more than adequate to beat on my buddy with.

Awesome saver bought this as a first try at lightsaber collecting, this is a great saver to start your collection. Weather it just for collection or for dueling. This is lightweight, & pretty easy to assemble. Nice & bright & great sound effects, easily recommended
