Follow directions for programming
Worked great for my 2000 4Runner. A note for programming, when you get into programming mode and you press unlock and lock at the same time then lock to program the remote, the locks only cycle once for successful programming. If they cycle twice the programming was rejected. Try again. For me, holding lock/unlock at the same time for 1 second and IMMEDIATELY pressing lock for two seconds did the trick. Both remotes programmed and all functions work as intended. You can get these to work and save so much money. Following the video on the websites referenced in the packaging. Programyourremote dot com worked for me. Good quality. I’d definitely buy again.

Fantastic solution to replace aging and broken fob remotes!
Excellent quality! And they work very well. Purchased these to replace a physically broken (due to aging, plastic fatigue) and a missing remote for some friends. The remotes arrived with batteries pre-installed, which made the programming process even easier to do. They look great, restored some of our friends’ pleasure in owning their prized vehicle (for them, keyless entry is an important feature, creature comfort), and you should have seen their faces light up when they were gifted these high-quality key fob remote replacements for their 4-Runner SR5!The programming part is a process that takes a few minutes. Links to “how to program” are included in the package, though it was more-preferable to simply pull up a video online, to see the process.Fantastic outcome. Would definitely buy these again.

Worked on 2000 4runner with TVIP RS3200 system
Worked on my 2000 4runner with the VIP RS3200 system, but NOT with the factory programming so I went to the website listed on the package and used the ALTERNATE instructions. These are the second set of instructions that use the door lock/unlock button on the door handle rather than just the key-in-ignition and opening and closing of the driver door. It was difficult because you have to pace the lock/unlock cycle yourself and it has to be done while your door lock motors haven’t been worn down from hours of messing with them beforehand lol. The website is free despite what other reviews say. There is an ad that pops up between some of the menus but I didn’t have to enter any card info or anything silly like that once I closed the ad.My 4runner had stopped unlocking from the key fob (everything else worked fine) and I struggled with replacing the junction block, door lock motors, and messing with a bunch of other stuff only to realize my factory remote finally stopped sending the unlock signal after 25 years. The rear window button works but I may turn that off since it only caused me problems in the past. Panic button works and I haven’t accidentally hit it yet. Looks factory, feels a little different but works just fine. Can’t be beat for the price. Still working on programming the second remote but will wait for the lock motors to cool off again later since it involves locking/unlocking the doors ten times consecutively. Range is the same as the original fob. Actually uses a larger battery than the original fob so I expect they’ll last a long time.If you get these and they don’t pair from the factory rs3200 programming, don’t give up! Try the second set of instructions from the website on the new key fob packaging and give it a few tries to get the cadence right.

2006 4Runner. Worked great. One fob had stuck buttons
Both fobs ended up being easy to program. I would personally look up a YouTube on your specific car model on how to program the fob, rather than go to the website link the package provides. Just easier to follow with both visual and written instructions. Complaint I have is one key fob had buttons that got stuck, but can be remedied by opening it up and shifting them a bit. Was able to get both remotes functioning unlock/lock just fine. Press unlock a couple times to get passenger doors open. Back window button opens it, but haven’t figured out how to close it with the same button yet. Fobs are made of cheap material, so maybe will get a case for it.

Does not work on 2004 Sequoia
Doesn’t work on 2004 Sequoia. The product description said it would, but then when I received it and logged on the read programming instructions, it says self programming will not work on 2004 Sequoia. Called a couple automotive locksmith and was told they would only use a fob they sold me. Worthless so it went back.
