I spoke to Elco Lighting and they said yes, this has two V springs. One on the top and one on the bottom.

Q: Is the glass "frosted" and can it be removed from the cover?

The glass is frosted and held in place by metal tabs. The tabs can be bent to allow the glass to be removed, and be bent back into place.
