Westinghouse Electric Blanket Twin Size, ETL&FCC Certified, 62x 84, Beige

This blanket has been the very best electric blanket we have ever purchased. It is very soft and snuggles warm, even without heat. My husband has neuropathy in several parts of his body. He feels cold more than I do so the dual controls are needed for us. Other heated blankets we have had were cumbersome and thick. It is nice to have one that feels like a real blanket! I would buy this one again.

The delivery was fast! I took the blanket throw out of the package, read the instructions, and tried it out. It was super soft! Faster than I expected. Light weight and I look forward to using it in my home office in the winter since this room is actually an unheated sunroom. I need something heater, not 3 extra layers of clothing. My bedroom is poorly insulated so it gets cold, because this is an old house. I love the blanket, it can provide extra warmth for me and my dog on cold nights. I can use it anywhere in the house because the cord is long enough to use as a lap blanket when I want to keep my feet warm. Most of the time I plan to keep it flat to warm my body, perfect size for one person on the couch. I like that it has 6 heat settings, which is exactly what one needs. The time setting is also great for saving energy and making sure I'm safe while I sleep. I also found the same model in this store that turns off after 4 hours and like the time setting better. After trying it out, I unplugged the controller and washed it in the machine. Followed the prompts and dried it in the shade (may extend the life of the blanket). I'm going to put it away until fall/winter comes. I will live in blanket until June when I can emerge like a butterfly. I plan to buy another one for my grandmother this year as a Christmas gift. I’m sure she’ll love it.

We were replacing an older Sunbeam blanket, and this is a real powerhouse in comparison. Nine heat levels – and low is sometimes too much! Love that each side has its own cord – hoping that will make it last longer, because having only one cord split into two sides, was the likely culprit in my side of the old blanket failing. Material is very soft and the blanket is quite large – we have the queen size version on our king size bed, and it drops over the sides a bit and has enough material to fold over at the top.

Loved this blanket right out of the box, but as usually happens, after several months this one, like so many others, just quits heating. It's soft and thick and I'm perfectly happy using it without the heating element working, but considering I purchase these as HEATED blankets, I sure do wish they'd last more than one season.

Firstly, the box shows a single controller. I ordered a double controller. So I started the return process as 'unopened'. Then I read the order details, and it should be dual control. So I opened it and it was. I plugged it in, and it doesn't get very hot, even on high, even right on your skin. The heating elements are in the center of the blanket, and worse yet, the parts of the blanket that don't have any heating elements are actually COLD! It's b/c of the cheap fabric. (see photo gray) I have 2 WH throws and another dual control WH queen that are different fabric. Like old school flannel. (see photo plaid turquoise). Awesome blankets all. But I made the mistake of washing our big queen blanket, and one side shorted out. Now, I am crying. Nothing like my old ones available. We are using a broken blanket, b/c it's better than these new ones. I had this new one on my bed. It would've been so easy to just keep it. But it is just not good. I couldn't do it. I have to send it back. My uncle retired from WH decades ago. Not the same company, not the same products. I'm tired of the search for a new electric blanket. Everything available is garbage. UPDATE: When I searched for the blanket I wanted, Amazon did NOT make it among the choices. BUT, after I messaged the seller, and they messaged back, I found the blanket! I immediately ordered it and I am excited to get it. This was an Amazon/algorithm failure. The good blankets are available. You just have to look for the flannel ones.

We purchased this to replace a different brand that broke after about 6 months use. I like the control unit here better, the big red button in the middle is very handy in the middle of the night. Easy to turn the heat back on should the timer run out. (Or say the dog sleeps on the unit and accidentally turns it off) I dont like the small size of the heat adjustment buttons but honestly once I got the heat setting I liked, I didnt have to change it. The other unit I had to set every time. Nice that this one remembers. Something none of them have figured out is the cabling. The unit doesnt stay flat on the night stand thanks to the power chord. We have a sleep number bed and dont use a bed frame so we cant just tuck the cable away. Time will tell but so far we're really enjoying this blanket.

I'm giving this blanket five stars so far. We received the blanket in good order and set it up on our bed. It really warmed very nicely and is just great!! So far so good. After reading other reviews here about this blanket I'm still concerned whether it will last very long. We've had the old fashion type of electric blankets that lasted at least five years so I'm seriously wondering how long this one will last. So far (and I mean the last couple of weeks) it's just great.

Love the fabric, it’s nice and soft. It is not too heavy a lighter blanket which is nice. I don’t like that it won’t light up at night (like the buttons) so if I need to turn it up or down I can’t find the spot. It doesn’t light up initially when u turn it on. It doesn’t get super warm though. The blanket this replaced I was keeping on number 6, this one I need to turn it up high. Probably wouldn’t get this blanket again

LOVE that that the power plug by your feet is way off to one side, not in the middle. Settings 1 to 12 hrs in 1/2 hr increments, I think 10 or 12 heat settings. On/off switch. Really pleased.

Do not purchase this item. It stopped working after just 5 months and the seller was unresponsive to my attempts to communicate and address the issue. The costumer service was awful.

This was what kept us through cold weather. It's soft and gets warm fast.
