Prong collars cam get a bad rap because they look as if they are pain-giving medieval contraptions. They truly are not. I think they are much more humane than the constant pulling of the choke-chain on dogs not well-trained. All my dogs have responded well to them, immediately calmed down and show respect. I started using prong collars in the past because it was the only way I could take my three giant breed Leonbergers on a walk together. I especially like the adjustable ones that snap on. All three are quality German made products that have lasted well over 20 years. I still use one on my large Husky mix.I was looking for one for my smaller Husky mix, who is still considered a large dog, but not giant. In this day and age of products that are not as well made, and many knockoffs, I hesitated to pay the price for one made in Germany. So, after reading numerous reviews on various brands I chose this one. My only hesitation were the reviews that said the plastic buckle broke rather quickly.Upon arrival and trying the buckle I noticed the plastic was extremely dry and difficult to undo. No wonder it broke! I sprayed it with a dry lube and what a difference! No problem with the buckle! However, for reasons unknown to me the plastic continues to dry out rather quickly so I reapply the lube at least once a month.This dog is not one who constantly pulls on the leash anyway, so for her I chose to keep the plastic on the the tips. And that works well for her. prong collars are needed though when walking my two together and they see something they want to chase! So these collars keep them in check and under my control.And if that plastic buckle does eventually break I can be assured she won’t be able to run off and get hit by a car because of the two rings the leash clips on to. All around a good buy at a reasonable price for the materials it’s made with

Our cocker spaniel could not walk on a leash with a proper harness as she would pull so hard she choked herself over and over. We had decided to spend the money to have her professionally trained but saw the fabulous reviews for the prong collar and decided to give it a try as a last ditch effort. SO GLAD WE DID!! The very first walk with the prong collar was a huge success! Not one choking incident occurred! We have walked her 4-5 times since and experience the same excellent results each time! Do yourself a favor- order one! BTW- it’s very humane- it does not hurt the dog in any way!

Most prong collars you need to squeeze a link to take the collar apart to put it on the dog. This one has a clip to put it on and off easily.You can add or subtract links to be sure it fits the dog by using a needle nose pliers to squeeze the links which makes it more secure if the dog jerks against it suddenly. I personally prefer to use the collar without the rubber tips and they are removable with the same pliers if you wish. (The tips of the links are not sharp so even if you remove the rubber tips it doesn’t hurt the dog.) Price is much better than the only other pinch collar advertised that has a clip to open it. Customer service is very good.

Our dog pulls really bad when walking and other collars have been dangerous for her. I had to always have my husband walk her because I couldn’t handle her before. This collar was recommended to us and it works great! Definitely doesn’t hurt her at all, and keeps her safe from choking or breaking free. Pulling has gotten a lot better and walks are more enjoyable!

This was a game changer for my dog. It’s easy to put on and take off unlike other collars. The collar puts just enough pressure to stop her pulling without pain. Immediately noticed a big difference.

Be careful using this collar while your dog is in a cage they can possibly get stuck or tangled, but otherwise this product is great

I know a lot of people are against these but this was the best purchase I have ever made. I have a pit who is about to be 1 and he absolutely sucks at walking on leash 🤦🏻‍♀️ I’ve tried everything possible. Watched a million different videos this was my last resort, he does not keep any focus on me or my wife when outside but he is a very hyper active dog, so I’m hoping once he calms down more he will learn, but this has been the only way we can enjoy walks, his pulling with this is little to none! And for any haters no i do not have to pull him at all! He feels the slightest tug on it from him pulling me and he stops immediately! I’d say it is very safe! He has never cried from any pain! It even comes with rubber tips on the ends for even more safety! It fits great! And I love the option to add or remove prongs to make sure it fits!

Works perfectly for my border collie. Prongs are easy to remove to size. Caps on the prongs for protection. Love how it unclips and doesn’t have to slide over the head. And there’s even a lock on it so it can’t pop off. My dog supports LGBTQ
