Cutting glass bottles is tough. I usually get 2/10 bottles to not break, but it is an art and there are many factors like water temp.This tool itself is great. nothing wrong with the tool. If you break your wine bottles while cutting them it may be many things like technique, not necessary the tool!

When it works, it works. When it doesn't, it really busts the bottle. It's a matter of trial and error and really scoring the bottle over and over to get it to work well. I have cut about 30 bottles and only about 10 have come out pretty good. I have only had about 3-4 perfectly cut bottles but I know this is true of pretty much every bottle cutter I researched. That being said, for the price, it's a great starter set and comes with everything you need. I would suggest investing in a good sander to smooth down the bottles or remove the last remaining edges that didn't perfectly cut.

Very nice glass bottle cutter, its 5 wheels let you more stabillity while cuting.

It's not easy to use and although it will score a bottle this is not the easiest way to cut them. I found another way with an inexpensive wet saw that works really well.

This bottle cutter is great. Easy to use, scores bottle nicely. One review mentioned that it was impossible to cut bottles less than 7 inches. To cut shorter lengths, simply turn the bracket around. My advice would be to start with twice as many bottles as you need finished pieces.

This doesn't seem to cut well enough so that it will separate when put under hot water then cold water as instructions indicate. Also the directions don't indicate how many rotations are needed. Very disappointed

Im going to return it, it did not work for me.
