Easy to set up in my squirrel's cage. She licks it often, and unlike other similar products, it does not seem to make her want to chew the steel loop. (this led to me removing other salt and mineral licks due to safety)A salt and mineral lick is necessary to preventing metabolic bone disease in squirrels, so this product is quite literally a lifesaver for my squirrel.

Nicole, our tuxedo guinea pig, LOVES her salt lick and we love how it attaches securly to Nicole's cage to stay out of the reckus Nicole creates!

Does not fall apart
I have purchased other salt licks that crumble and fall apart with the humidity outside here in Florida and this one does not!

Too expensive and one of the photos is misleading
I bought this and it is too expensive and I regret paying that much. Almost $10 for one spool and a simple wire hanger.The product pictures include one shot where it looks like you get one hanger and two spools. But it is just one spool. So that was misleading and I am disappointed overall on the value of this purchase.

Good quality salt lick
Shipped quickly, exactly as expected. Didn't end up using it because upon further research discovered they are not recommended for guinea pigs.

Don't give salt licks to ferrets
Please don't give this, or any salt licks to ferrets. They do not require them, & it's not healthy or recommended that ferrets have them. Not sure why they were included in the list of small animals. Great for bunnies or other critters who need them though!
