Pretty typical antler mounting kit. The plastic skull covers didn't really work for me. They didn't fit easily. Something softer and more flexible would've been better.

Love these i had called a taxidermy to mount just the rack they wanted 125 dollars. I did it my self for 25 dollars.

Used for a cheap way to mount a rack for a kid. Easy to do, comes with a red and a cream colored cap cover. Those covers are very thin plastic and cheap quality! The Velcro that came with it to stick the cover was messed up and I had to hot glue it on. Still turned out ok for the $ and it was my first attempt at a DIY mount.

After shooting a small buck, I wanted to display the antlers, but not pay the several hundred dollars to have the whole head mounted. This kit does the job.....from a distance. Up close it looks very cheap. What can you expect for $12? It is laminated fiber board with very, very thin plastic covers. Mounting the antlers is a challenge. I am handy, and still had trouble. It uses a soft metal band that wraps around the skull base and screws into the fiber board. Getting the antlers on straight took a lot of trial and error. The skull covers are paper thin and easily torn. You need an art degree to cut them to fit your antlers perfectly. The Velcro used to attach the skull covers to the board are cheap and do not stick well. I ended up using double sided tape. After a couple hours of work the mount does look decent, but next time I will look for a higher quality kit.

I have no idea how to mount actual antlers to this. I used it for a stuffed animal that my dog got for Christmas. She tore the head off within 5 minutes and delivered it to my lap. It had to get mounted. This is what I chose, and it worked perfectly.

This is absolute garbage. Flimsy, cheap material and impractical assembly. Do not waste your money.

This kit came in handy for mounting a set of horns this past winter. My husband shot a 7 pt buck and after the curing process and drying out, and whatever else he had to do with it, he mounted the horns on this plaque and hung it up in the porch area. We have Dasher, Dancer, Prancer and now Vixen mounted on the walls of the back porch!

I wasn't a fan. I found many problems which other reviewers noted. Right off the bat, I observed that the nails for the wall hanger appeared to be too long, but I trusted that the manufacturer knew what they were doing... so I proceeded to drive a nail in the back... right through the front face of the mount. So I got some shorter nails to finish that portion of the job. Then, on to mounting the antlers: the strapping works correctly, but that's about the only positive I had during my experience. Onto the cutting of the felt. I planned on only using the red felt, so I used the tan one as a guinea pig. I cut it to the best of my ability, but as other reviewers mentioned, the felt is not large enough. And this was just a small spike horn. I re-cut the skull as short as I possibly could and re-strapped it, only to find out that no matter what, I couldn't get the felt to sit tight against the wood. Then, the Velcro system is okay in theory, but due to the deep recesses on the felt piece, they don't work too well... I would not recommend this mount kit, nor would I ever buy it again. Save yourselves some frustration and spend a little more on a better product.

This is a pretty good kit for the price. I found it a little bit tricky to get the antlers secured tightly, but it was not difficult at all to get them on the plaque. Trimming the plastic cover is the most difficult part of the process and you need to be very careful not to cut too much at once. I used one of the two covers as a template to avoid over cutting the one I used. Overall, I'm pretty happy with the end result.

Bonne chance de tailler le couvre crâne comme il le faut, c'est du essaie-erreur et il n'y a que deux pièces pour réussir. Le bois est laminé et s'abîme facilement. La seule chose intéressante est le bas prix.
