Perfect for my TK child!
I got this for my son who just started TK. When I first received it, I didn't like it too much, but I still gave it a try and I'm so glad I did. I love this, but most importantly, my son loves this so much! It's a cute, vibrant color and looks super fun. He LOVES opening and closing it. The stainless steel container is PERFECT. I got this specifically because of the "hot food" option - he loves soups and pastas, so I've been putting soup and pasta in there. Great compartment spaces. I can always do a main and 2 sides. The only thing I don't like is that the lid for the stainless steel "bowl" can be a little hard to close properly, once he's done eating. So... if there's still liquid inside, it will leak out. Nonetheless, it's easy too clean and super cute. I plan on getting another one once it goes on sale because the price tag is too much.

Best Back to School Purchase!
I have a little one in young fives and this is the perfect lunch box! I wish I would have got this last year! When I first saw this lunch box last year I passed, I thought the price was a little high. I thought how when I was younger we never had anything like that. Well this year I looked more into it and jumped the gun. I am so happy I did! This is by far my favorite back to school purchase and I’m a little jealous we didn’t have this when I was a kid. My child has no issues with opening or closing, it keeps warm food warm and cold food cold. Price I get it, it’s a two in one! For what I payed for a box and a separate thermos was about the same price. The two in one is a game changer! Lastly, the colors! My daughter absolutely loves the pink and purple! I have already recommended this product to many of mom friends already! It’s been over a month and it still looks brand new! Whoever invented this had to be a mom haha

So good we have two of them!
So great we have two! Excellent lunch box for both hot and cold options. We've put leftovers/soup/pasta in the little thermos. The food stays hot and there is no spillage. There is room for utensils, napkin and a snack or two. The divider allows for us to put some chips and fruit. SUPER EASY TO CLEAN. Light weight and easy to tote around.

The best lunchbox!
My daughter is 5 and this is perfect for her. She can open and close everything herself, as long as the thermos lid is not put on too tight. It doesn’t leak. It’s not too heavy. And if you preheat the thermos it keeps food warm by lunch time! I was skeptical because of the price but it’s worth it! Literally the best!!

Overall we love OmieBox and have bought several colors and accessories! Pros: It's a SUPER durable design, out Blue sky and Meadow boxes have been used half of last school year, all summer at outdoor soccer camp in the city, & half of this school year so far and doesn't have a scratch on it yet, easy to clean, holds a good amount of food, haven't had any issues with leaks, keeps food warm for hours in thermos, love being able to customize the leak proof spacious side compartments, & can be used with thermos or without. Cons:Price is a little high for targeted audience(even celebrities have said it's a splurge if you have multiple kids), two of our thermos got stuck closed(was able to get one open after a week in the freezer), couldn't fit in last years Cat & Jack lunch bag without leaving the zipper open a little and the handle sticking out( middle schooler was able to manage no problem)so had to buy a Champion Estate lunch bag this year, doesn't come with the name tag the OmieUp comes with even though they're the same price and younger kids would probably need it more than the older kids the OmieUp is targeted to(NOT TO SAY the OmieUp shouldn't come with it or that you should raise the price), doesn't come with the icepack the OmieUp comes with even though it's the same price. Although I haven't had to need one because I usually freeze items like yogurt or applesauce, the company adding one to the OmieUp or saying we can add icepacks to the outside of this one makes it seem like you do need it. But again OVERALL a great lunch box and I would even buy more if they send me a replacement for the stuck thermos because that would show me their customer service is great as well.

Great!
I absolutely love this lunch box! The pink and purple colors are beautiful, and the compartments make it so easy to organize different foods without everything mixing together. It feels sturdy, well-made, and keeps food nicely insulated. The design is adorable and perfect for kids. Definitely a great purchase and highly recommend it!

Keeps My Daughter’s Lunch Warm Until Lunchtime!
I absolutely love this lunch box! The insulated food jar is amazing—my daughter has actually told me that her food is still warm when she gets to lunch, which is exactly what I was looking for. I also love that I can pack hot and cold foods together without everything mixing. The compartments are perfect for fruit, snacks, and her main meal, and the leakproof design gives me peace of mind. It’s practical, well-made, and the Pink Berry color is so cute. Definitely recommend!

Keeps foods neither hot nor cold
I’m soooo bummed. I wanted to love this. I have kids who really only enjoy hot vegetables and protein, and we switched schools to somewhere without great hot lunch options available. This lunchbox advertises “pack your hot soup and cold strawberries together”. This is exactly what we needed! But it doesn’t do hot food or cold food very well… I’m absolutely shocked given the high volume of 5-star reviews, but I can only chalk it up to parents not having one of their own and sending their kids to school with these unaware of what’s going on because you expect them to be cold when you get home. Parents, pay attention to this review! First off, read the fine print, if you can find it… I did a few times and I even scoured the omielife website for FAQs around how this lunchbox keeps foods cold without any ice. Not on the Omielife website FAQs (but I JUST found it in the fine print at the bottom of the Amazon page when I went to leave this review) it says that you need to place ice packs in the lunchbox to keep foods cold if they aren’t in the thermos. If you read the omielife website it says in reference to food outside the thermos “Food is kept cool through OmieBox’s double walled, air insulated tray. Air is an excellent insulator (think styrofoam or double pane windows - both use air insulation). ” This lunchbox definitely does not safely keep foods cold on its own, and it’s hard to find the right size ice packs to work in the small compartments and still allow enough space for the food you want to include. One would think that if the recommendation of the modifications necessary to the lunchbox included ancillary gear, that omielife would develop and sell these things. If right-sized ice packs were for sale anywhere on Amazon or omielife it would have been a clear indication that this was needed. But it isn’t because they’re telling you that air insulation (absent the proper design / technology) keeps your food cold. It doesn’t. Also frustrating is the temperature of the hot thermos food at lunchtime. I follow all instructions (heating the thermos with hot water ahead of time) and even did an insulation check as the website suggested and I still fear for the safety of my children eating hot saucy/soupy foods. Despite what omielife says, the temperature of warm food becomes a problem under 140 deg F. Since the FAQs weren’t doing it for me, and I didn’t understand how this design allows for the food safe storage it’s representing, I began investigating. I bought another box, and have now begun packing myself a lunch trying the various combinations I’ve been sending my kids to school with. I discovered when I open the hot thermos food at lunchtime it’s well below the 140 F that prevents bacterial growth in food. Omielife says that it purposely keeps food temperatures lower at a toddler-safe range, but safe for up to 6 hours (if you follow their instructions (preheat, saucy/soupy foods, etc)) but I’m not convinced it’s a range that honors conventional wisdom on food safety standards. Now I have to start timing when this food drops below 140F to know if it is typically consumed within the timeframe that it’s safe for them to do so. I’ve never had a thermos hold hot foods at such a low temperature after only 4 hours of storage. For reference, I also pack our omieboxes in an insulated lunchbox carrier and it’s always stored at typical ambient air temp. Don’t even get me started that this doesn’t allow for hot, dry foods. To be fair in this review, I’ve never tried the thermos to keep foods cold, because my kids want a hot lunch with fresh fruit and some cheese/a tiny toddler yogurt/kefir. But none of that works with its current design. We also have 3 of these lunchboxes now and they all are performing the same. This thing is twice as expensive as the next market leading option (bentgo) which is already at quite a price premium. But here’s the thing, I never had to find extra ice packs for my bentgo. And I never worried about food safety. Do yourself a favor and buy the bentgo with the ice pack built into it, and separately buy a small thermos for warm foods for your kiddo and drop them all in an inexpensive lunch bag and call it a day.

Great lunch box for school!
I’m very happy with this lunch box. It’s sturdy, easy to clean, and the compartments are practical. The insulated container keeps hot food warm until lunchtime, and it’s great for packing a variety of foods. My child enjoys using it, and it has made packing lunches much easier. I would definitely recommend it to other parents.
